Generally “embrace your natural body hair” tends to go hand-in-paw with “embrace your natural body odours” and “beautiful at ANY size!”
I’ve never been a big fan of hairy legs on a woman, but I will say this: People in today’s society expect women to be practically hairless in regard to body hair and that’s just weird.
A year or two ago a picture of Gal Gadot in her Wonder Woman get up came out online. Feminists complained because it was too sexy. They complained again when a teaser trailer showed she had shaved under her arms - which no Amazon warrior would have done (as if that mattered).
What struck me, however, was an online comparison of all the actresses who had played Wonder Woman on TV or in movies. There was a pictures of Lynda Carter - who I have always thought was gorgeous - and I was immediately struck by the fact that you could plainly see she had fine but dark hair on her forearms. Many other people visiting the site had noticed the same thing! We’ve become so against normal body hair on a woman that it struck us to see an actress from the 1970s with perfectly normal body hair on her arms. Hollywood has messed us up as a people.
In VietNam they didn’t need it.
These idiots want to force everyone to call ugliness beauty.
That splains yer disdain of bloggers ......
LMAO..... yep.
Damned good album - but her hair isn’t the only thing wrong with her.
She can stop bathing, stop dressing in anything but a snuggie and stop exercising too.
See where that gets her. She can feel quite comfy and justified while alone and ridiculed.
There is a reason I don’t allow donkeys in the house.
This whole natural/unnatural thing is total BS.
The fact is, we are millions of years removed—if you go in for that sort of thing—from being naked hairy apes, and many thousands of years removed from the beginning of human civilization in any event.
There will always be societal norms and expectations to contend with. They aren't necessarily good or bad. Some of them are based on very good logic. Others are quite arbitrary. Should all men stop shaving too?
If this girl can snag herself a husband using her current practices, then more power to her. It's silly to be either completely controlled by societal norms, or to impulsively decide to flout them for no reason. Is deodorant "unnatural"? What about bathing with soap? Using toilet paper?
Overall, I'm not particularly impressed with this girl's "logic"...
LOL!
Which beggars the question;
If women are not supposed to have body hair, why did God give it to us?
/not attracted to shaved men
Wish my daughters had embrace that philosophy. They would go through my razors fast. I had to lock up replacement blades and leave cheap ones out.
And then there is...breast hair.
Had a crush on a beautiful classmate back in high school. Met her in Chorus. She participated in competitive archery and bellydancing, but not at the same time...
We dated and after a time I got to unveil the hidden wonders I had been dreaming about and...
She had more hair around her nipples than I did.
Freaked...me...out...
I believe that. This documentary, Century of the Self, shows how propaganda techniques began being used on the public for marketing purposes. It specifically shows how smoking among women was accomplished during the early 20th century. It is discussed early on, within the first 10 minutes or so.
The documentary is 3 or 4 hours long, but important enough that I think everyone should set aside the time to absorb the important lessons that it contains.
Are you sure?
Yea, I had that happen once myself, same reaction as you.
I agree. I kinda like the natural look.
The rule about posting pictures is here by suspended. By popular demand.
I knew a young lady who neither shaved nor used deodorant.
My dog would run and hide under the bed when she was approaching from a mile away.
