Oh, you saw this crap in the early 60’s? Where? You say these guys are of age. 17 and 16 are not adults and were not then. Yes, some southern states allowed younger women to marry. Perhaps you might recall that a 17 year old male needed his father’s or mother’s signature to join the military in the 60’s.
