On Monday evening, Ricca said, Arielle Bonnici, 26, of Huntington, drove her 2001 Jeep to Northport Village Justice Court to answer a summons she’d been issued on May 11 for unlawful possession of marijuana.

“Bonnici pulled into the rear parking lot of the building housing the Northport Police Department and Village Justice Court and cut off an unmarked police car, police say.
According to police, Bonnici was observed on a cellphone at the time and proceeded to drive into an area for police vehicles and park in the spot reserved for the chief of police.
Police say when officers approached her, she rolled down her window and officers were met with a cloud of marijuana smoke. Officers observed Bonnici of being in possession of marijuana and a pipe containing marijuana.
“At this point the two officers said they started laughing. Besides cutting off a police car, on the cellphone, parking in the chief’s parking spot, now she’s smoking marijuana in the back of a courthouse and police station,” says Northport Police Chief William Ricca.”

Also on Long Island. Back in the 80s worked with a guy who was selling coke on the side. A few of my coworkers new this. I didn’t. He made the mistake of shorting a DA’s wife on his coke deal with her. She went to hubby who fabricated a story of him being a “Kissing Bandit”. Supposedly terrorizing house wives in fancy neighborhoods by sneaking up on them and kissing them, then leaving. The DA let him know somehow what he was really being arrested for. After all can’t let the courts know the DA and wife were huffing coke, now. He gladly accepted the charges as they were less than the coke dealing charges.
Do, they’re giving her a pass on having a hand holding a pope containing marijuana?
That DA should have been up on criminal charges.

I know this (second hand from another coworker). My arrested co worker He knew. The assistant DA his wife and a few close of their friends in high places knew.
It was pretty hush hush. Who’s going to arrest them?
