Hundreds of Model 3s Are Rolling Out of the Tesla Factory

This marks a significant acceleration in production for the electric car company.

Tesla has been hyping its Model 3 vehicles since they were announced in 2014. The car was designed to be an affordable all-electric sedan, but despite receiving approximately half a million pre-orders the company has so far only delivered a few hundred units. However, that might be about to change: Electrek is reporting that ‘hundreds’ of new Model 3s have been leaving the Tesla factory over the past few days.

Electrek published drone video footage yesterday of a parking lot at the Tesla factory in Fremont full of Model 3s being loaded onto trucks. This comes after footage last week of the that same factory with an estimated 500 Model 3s in the same parking lot. It’s unclear whether the footage published yesterday features the same cars as the video published a week ago, or if these are new cars.

Either way, this represents a significant acceleration in Tesla’s Model 3 production. The company only delivered 712 Model 3s total by November, and according to these videos the company stands to nearly double that number in December.

This means that Tesla might be on track to meet its 2018 goal of 5,000 vehicles per week by March 2018. If that’s the case, people might not have to wait as long for their cars as they thought.

I hope I’m wrong. But I have a bad feeling that these Model 3’s are going to be on the recall list.

Trouble and problems.

Oh thank the Lord the earth is saved! This global warming is killing up all. Record setting low temperatures, I can’t take this heat any longer. Minus 40 recorded in Minnesota. I guess if it wasn’t for global warming it would be minus 286

I prefer to fill up my car with gas, not look for a stupid electrical outlet like a homeless person at the public library.

We really need to step up our game and start Mining Massive Amounts of COAL and Build Hundreds of New COAL Fired electricity generating stations to keep up with demand for all these COAL powered cars.

Wow 100’s in a few days. Pretty soon Tesla will be putting out as many Model 3’s per day as Ford did Model T’s in 1913.

They would need to build 1000 per day to fill the back orders. Plus there is now competition, both in cars and alternative battery technology. I wouldn’t buy their stock.

Are these actually cars or inflatable decoys? Either way, they’re all for show.

Cars
Gary Numan

Here in my car
I feel safest of all
I can lock all my doors
It’s the only way to live
In cars

Here in my car
I can only receive
I can listen to you
It keeps me stable for days
In cars

Here in my car
Where the image breaks down
Will you visit me please
If I open my door
In cars

Here in my car
I know I’ve started to think
About leaving tonight
Although nothing seems right
In cars

In cars, in cars, in cars
In my car, in my car, in my car, in my car
In cars, in cars
In my car, in my car, in my car, in my car
(I’ve been sittin’, I’ve been sittin’, I’ve been sittin’, I’ve been sittin’)

In cars, in cars
In my car, in my car, in my car, in my car
(I’ve been sittin’, I’ve been sittin’, I’ve been sittin’, I’ve been sittin’)

In cars, in cars
In my car, in my car, in my car, in my car

One early buyer is documenting his cross country trip after receiving his Tesla 3. In part, he reports:

Problems reported here in 3 days if i’m not wrong: 1. Air bag light. 2. Tire pressure sensor. 3. Charging lid. 4. Wipers knock. 5. Music system noises. 6. Service response malfunction. 7. Loud pop in back and warning light. 8. 12v plug not working. 9. Low quality wiper blades leaving stripes. 10. Time zone recognition. 11. Mistakes in charging rates calculation. And low quality “upgraded” music system.

In one instance, he said “multiple soft resets” were necessary after experiencing several interface glitches while charging.

That kind of thing never happens to gas cars.
