A Detroit utility worker responding to a reported power outage early Friday at a city lighting substation found a door to the building had been pried open.
Then he found something much worse the bodies of two men electrocuted by 24,000 volts after touching a transformer, reported WDIV. The bodies had been fused together.

AND... one amp can kill you.
“At least they died doing something they loved.”
I hear you get a terrific erection when you are electrocuted.
Not always!
“Its not the voltage. Its the amperage.”
Electronics 101.
Well, OK, if you insist...
“Punishment does not fit the crime.”
Maybe, but what else were these worthies up to?
“Up in smoke!
The old indian circuit.
“Yikes. Not the most pleasant way to go.”
Never knew what hit them.
Yeah, I grew up along the electrified (overhead) NYC-DC railroad corridor. Every few years, there would be a story about a kid getting into a freight yard, climbing on top of a car or locomotive, and fatally grabbing the power line.
The resistance of skin under normal conditions is 1609 Ohms per square cm. According to ANSI F1396.5, in cases like this one should assume a contact area of 0.6 square cm. With a voltage drop of 24000 Volts, this would push the Amps to 11.
It’s not the crime, it’s the stupidity.
Not always. Above a certain amperage level it goes from a quick death to a slow electrical deep fry.
“Just trying to keep warm, bro.”
They meant to do it.
“There always was a certain electricity between the two mates. But then one day, they just had a meltdown and things changed forever.”
Together forever...literally.
It wasn’t clear to me from the article whether they were in series or in parallel ...
“They found their car parked nearby- A Tesla.”
They found their livers in the next county.
If all thiefs and crooks wound up this way.
Really help the court system out.
Lotsa shyster lawyers would be out of work.
Less money citizens have to pay for housing crimimals.
Honest to God I do not see any downsides at all.
