A good coal miner eh?
Well teacher at good coal miner in West Virginia makes more in one month that you do in one year.
So maybe she should go into coal mining now that Trump is going to open our mines again. MAGA
Why would they want to make fun of this child?
Yea I agree this kid should be a coal miner, nothing wrong with that. She’ll have a nice home, car, be able to fix her teeth and better life than her lousy teachers.

Proper remedy, to my mind, is for those teachers to be fired. A settlement won’t cost the district anything. Any money will come out of the taxpayers’ hides. I think firing those teachers would send a stronger message.
Some join because it's a family thing.
Some join because of passion/sense of duty.
And, some join for easy benefits and retirement.
Which of these is the correct answer?
Hopefully, the administrators will do the right thing & revoke their teaching credentials, or whatever the process is called to make their careers in teaching an impossibility from this day forward. I have absolutely no sympathy for them at all.
I’m sure the teacher’s union will circle the wagons for their misunderstood comrades.
So these brainiacs are so mentally superior that they haven’t mastered hanging up a phone?
Several of the teachers where I came from worked in the mine during the Summer Break to earn more than they would during the school year. They respected the parents of their students and understood where and why their students would go to work in the mine.
Filthy commie scum!
Wow, this hits close to home...
My daughter was born with Turners...
What type of person would mock a child that has a disorder one born with...
I’ve noticed throughout my life that most people who become teachers, shouldn’t be around children.
They should take their teaching licenses for life .... they have no business near a school let alone in a classroom ... the firings should be broadcast on national news so they can’t “pass the trash” to some other locality. Since they can “talk trash” so well, maybe they could get hired on a sanitation engineers.
They made fun of two groups...the disabled and working people. Pretty nasty. Thank goodness for the people that do the dirty jobs in this country. I have heaps more respect for them than a lot of the “elite” in this country. Anyone who is working hard at an honest job gets my respect.
I am so tired of lawsuits.
There’s other ways to express your displeasure.
This ping list is for the other articles of interest to homeschoolers about education and public school. This can occasionally be a fairly high volume list. Articles pinged to the Another Reason to Homeschool List will be given the keyword of ARTH. (If I remember. If I forget, please feel free to add it yourself)
The main Homeschool Ping List handles the homeschool-specific articles. I hold both the Homeschool Ping List and the Another Reason to Homeschool Ping list. Please freepmail me to let me know if you would like to be added to or removed from either list, or both.
Imagine the frustration of a fifth grade math teacher trying to teach fifth-grade math to someone with no ability to learn it. Is that the case here? We can't tell from the article.
We have transformed our public schools such that they now teach to the lowest ability level and are expected to act as baby-sitters for children who do not belong in their classroom. How could such policies not result in cynical teachers? We do know that the math teacher was attempting to contact the parent with concerns.
Nowadays, everything is a federal case.
