SANTA CLARITA, Calf. (WFLA) While the rest of us were debating where to abandon our trees, one woman decided to take hers back for a refund.
So come January, the woman wanted her money back for her once lively Christmas tree because it was now dead.
Customers at the Costco in the suburbs of Los Angeles were blown away, and one man couldnt help but post the rest of the details on Facebook.
I cant make this stuff up, he wrote. Woman in line at Costco, totally nonchalant, to return her Christmas tree because it is dead on January 4.
Amazingly, she actually did get her money back, according to the post. But not without a little bit of shaming from the store and other customers.
So something to keep in mind for next year, if your Christmas tree is dead after being chopped down a month before, you may be able to get a refund.

Was she one of the ‘protected classes’?
She didn’t hold a gun to their head for her money back. They didn’t have to refund her. Choices.
I don’t know which is worse - the fact the woman tried to return it or that Costco actually did the return.
As much as retails denies it, there are times when the customer is never right. This appears to be one of those.

Wonder what the odds are she voted for Hillary and not Trump?
My daughter works at a service desk for a large grocery/home center type store.
They look for scams but for the most part take back what people return. They know the chronic scammers by sight and actually ban them from the store.
I remember january 2nd, 2000 at costco. There was a HUGE return line. The items I saw over and over again:
Peanut butter
dried beans
potato chips
gasoline powered generators.
It was hilarious.
If you’re wondering why, look closely at the date. And look up Y2K.
My sister used to work at Costco in Hawaii. She told me that Costco used to sell Christmas Trees in Hawaii, and they were extremely expensive to get them over there. After Christmas the locals did this exact same thing ... took the trees back to Costco and got refunds. Ever since then Costco stopped selling Christmas trees in Hawaii. My bet is that Costco will stop selling Christmas trees in LA, and maybe across all stores if this spreads.
I once saw a man return a pair of tennis shoes to Wal-Mart that were absolutely worn out to a frazzle. They were muddy, stained and torn. They gave him his money back. This was when Sam Walton was still alive.....................
Rhetorical question, right?
Who else would have the audacity to even think of such a scumbag action?
100%. Only a liberal could be so greedy, selfish and devoid of moral character.
I would probably give her the money just to avoid having to listen to the Jabber Monkey for the next two hours.
I suspect she was throwing around the melanin privilege pretty heavily.

not for anything, if she really needed the money so be it.
Our local Giant will let you return anything for a cash refund. My kiddo worked there at the indoor bank branch and does she have some tales!
Doesn’t appear to be..............
remember when craftsman hand tools had a meaningful guarantee not to break?
She got her $60 back, but Costco got a lot of good publicity in return. Very few people are as shameless as that woman, but will now feel safe shopping at Costco knowing that they are not going to get stuck.
