It's the Chicago Arizona way.
guns are bad, m’kay
Given her version of events, it is gross abuse of power to charge her with 1st degree murder.
Her right to a speedy trial will certainly be violated, and a judge will violate the constitution by setting bail so high she couldn’t possibly pony it up.
Despite the fact that it looks like self defense, she’ll spend years in jail before she ever goes to trial.
Look, you want to organize your life, you have to write this stuff down. Take out garbage, put out cat, start supper, shoot husband, shop for groceries, go to church. At the end of the day you have a nice list all checked off and you feel great.
She made a big mistake cleaning the home.
I understand that for a person suffering a traumatic event doing normal things makes them feel more normal.
But a prosecutor reviewing the case is likely to see this as tampering with the crime scene and disturbing evidence. Most likely he will present it to a jury as altering evidence to support the self-defense plea.
Husband yells.
Wife gets shotgun, points the weapon at hubby.
Hubby responds by grabbing a pistol.
Wife shoots & kills hubby.
Self defense? Not hardly.
Sounds like what we call a “Spenard Divorce” ie - a 6 pack and a shotgun....
She should have claimed he begged her to shoot him because he couldn’t look at her any longer.
She looks like a tough cookie.
Some of us on FR should have publishers and be writing manuscripts for submittal.
Are they sure the guy didnt’t shoot himself?
After reading stuff like this, I say: “Thank you, Lord, for giving me 60 years of good health and bachelorhood. Given a choice between loneliness and being around crazy people, I take loneliness any day.”
Too many women today are off-the-rails insane, and the culture lets them do anything except take responsibility for their actions.
I’ve always treated women very properly, in an “gentleman of the old school” sort of way.
But my basic attitude toward them is the same as I have for tigers, leopards, and other beautiful but dangerous creatures.
I guess she wasn't bluffing. He should have folded instead of going 'all in' on the bet.
Oh cut it.
There ARE women amongst us here. Nice to always presume youre with all males.
Yes, cleaning. And also the fact she left the scene and did not report immediately. And then did not report for 2-3 days.
These do not look good.
But shes smiling.
Is Peeples Valley where they have the Peeples Court?
Yes, they look bad.
But a forensic psychologist would not have a hard time putting them in the framework of the actions of a person in shock.
Particularly given her stop at church for prayer.
There may have even been some temporary hysterical amnesia .
After all, she was triggered.
“Oh cut it.”
Indeed?
You’re just proving my point. Women nag, yell, and browbeat, all to get their way.
They play endless mind games — not the least of which involves “you can’t take constructive criticism.”
Well, your idea of constructive might involve calling me a bum but my idea of constructive certainly doesn’t involve calling you a witch.
As I said, I try to be a gentleman, even while keeping women at a safe distance. Who needs the torment of having to listen to an endless litany of complaint?.
