"Otherwise known as tractor rap."

What do you get, when you cross country music with rap?

Crap.

I’ve heard some real “Dying calf in a hail storm” music in the past.

Country music is their music and their stories about lost love, hard times and lighting up the town have remained eternal.

Yeah, it is. Sometimes it's more. You get a band like Nine Inch Nails, not country. A writer like Trent Reznor, not country. A cover by Johnny Cash. Mind-blowing. That's Johnny's real wife in that, BTW.

Somebody asked me a couple weeks ago what my favorite country song is, I suspect as a joke because she knew my tastes don't usually go that way. This is it: Jack's Defeat Creek. Yeah, there's a story, quite a story. Good stuff.

Isn’t there a certain type of Country Music that uses strings similar to Irish River Dancers? Some may call it Zydeco. A little too noisy and pushy for me, but very popular with some.
There is a lot of cultural crossover going on.

I think it’s been almost 5 years for me. And yes, I love the pop country. Even as it really does have overused words like beer, truck, radio, etc, I’m crazy for it and listen nearly every day. You talk radio dudes better be interesting or I’ll switch to the Highway on Sirius. Pop country makes me feel good. That is good enough for me. My indie and hard rock loving kids think I am weird and simple but I don’t care. And I still love rock and mot other kinds of music too. But I love the sound and the world of country. And 5 years ago, the country performers were proud to stand for conservative values. That apparently is gone. They are either lefties or closeted now. But the fact that they made conservative sided jokes at then CMAs helped convert me. Wish they still would.

I was a Jazzasaurus Rex in college. One time, the director said, there's even good country music.

I said, no there's not.

“When you play a country song backwards, you get your house back, your wife back, your dog back, and your truck back.”

And you get sober

The whole left’s view of country people is based on deliverance.

I can’t even imagine a more insulting way to intro an article.

Disgusting.

George Strait is the King of Country Music. He’s got that smirk as if knows he’s the best; and everybody else knows it, too.
