the left is so brainwashed into thinking that those who disagree with tem are idiots that they don’t understand subtlety of message. What is wrong with all these titles that employ the social justice theme is that a lot of times the message and the story just are not relatable to the public at large. there is a thinking within liberal circles that if the person does not agree with you lets hit them over the head or even shock you with the storyline. so they take a character like the green lantern announce he has been gay for years and suddenly give the character a gay lover and make it an overt part of the story line. then hit the reader over the head with the fact that the character is gay making it it more important in the story line as far as dialog then what the reader is reading the comic for. ( a story about a villain that wants to do X bad thing or Steal X object)

Good. The folks are sick of the blatant leftist propaganda in the media. Go back to subtle.
I’m glaad to hear about this. I mean glad.
Its not just “gay” themed comic books. All of them are infested with some radical PC/Liberal message, or hatred of conservatives. Superman fights the Tea Party. Another superhero fights anyone who wants border protection. They all deserve to be axed.
The storytelling is plain awful. No amount of political correctness can compensate for that. Comic books, at least the iconic ones used to sell over 1 million, now hardly any can stay above 100,000 that aren’t Batman.
The purpose was not to make money, but to propagandize the reader.
I’m glad my comic book years were mainly in the 50’s and 60’s.
I remember comic books at 10 cents. Then 12 cents, then 15 cents.
If they did not sell, the store would tear off the top of the cover page and send it back for a refund while the comic book was to be destroyed.
If you knew where to look you could often find comics with mutilated covers for as little as 7 cents.
But then, that was back in the 1960s before the libs took over the comic industry.
You aren’t missing anything. I actually like that 1960s/1970s era.
That’s right. Alpha Flight was the group, and Vindicator was the boss. Thank You.
Is it a bad thing I used to watch and laugh at SNL’s comic characters “The Dynamically Gay Duo” SNL wouldn’t dare do those again.(Back when they were actually funny and entertaining) I wonder if they’ve blocked those from their dvd’s and such....
That’s “The Ambiguously Gay Duo.” “Ambiguous” was a stretch, though.
