Where's the nearest neighboring well, particularly upstream from you in the aquifer?

No telling what could go down somebody else's abandoned well, like a direct injection into the aquifer.

I don't know which state you live in but Oklahoma's geological survey is all online now, and it includes a map of all logged (known) water wells.

I believe it was back in the 70's, water well drillers were required to have a state license and to log each well drilled.
