I missed it, why did Dom have to choose between the three vote urns in Ghost Island?

Each of the urns was associated with a vote where someone made a huge mistake and got voted out. One was Eric who had given his immunity away, and that person voted him out for that.
One was James the Gravedigger where he got sent home with two idols in his pocket.
I guess the curse is still strong.
