With the shorter hind legs, one has to wonder how soon the hip problems will begin to set in.......
And only three fillies have ever won the Kentucky Derby.
Hip dysplasia is already a big problem and in not only GSD’s but also in many other large breeds. It seemed to have become a bigger problem in GSD when for mostly ascetic reasons, the sloped back and shorter hind legs became more popular. I think it was originally thought that the shorter hind legs and sloped back made for better jumping and springing forward but over time, it has gone to extremes and where it is now ascetics over functionality and the dog in the video I posted looks crippled.
The other one was a big sable and silver colored shepherd dad rescued from a lady who kept it locked up in her garage back around 1966......
Also, males tend to have a nicer, thicker coat of fur than females.
I’m sixty
I’ve owned two German Shepherds one male one female
One standard schnauzer male
Two Doberman both male
One English lab female
One Johnson American bulldog female
One standard American bulldog male
Five Rottweilers ..four males one female
I agree the male coat is more robust as a rule
lol!
Imagine the carnage when the dogs and pussies get together!
night all...gtg to bed
