It’s like taking in stray dogs. Sometimes they’re coyotes. They just look like dogs.
People always want to think that other people are kinda similar to them, deep down. The problem is that the only way we are all similar is that we are all sinners. And it is quite possible that the person you are taking into your home was never taught the constraints on that sinful nature that you were. And if they are “chronic” homeless, there is a good chance they weren’t. i.e. there is a reason they are homeless.
Regarding people, there are a lot of coyotes out there.

If you want to be compassionate to the homeless, send a check to the local shelter/food back and let the pros handle the aid. A lot of homeless people are such because they have psychological problems. I’m not saying this to be disparaging, it’s just a fact. Normal/healthy people both desire to and have the ability to maintain a place to reside. Yes, there are a lot of good people who have suffered misfortunes and end up in bad situations, but most chronicly homeless are not completely right.

Uh-oh. Mass Mutual is going to have to dump its saccharine TV commercial that includes a woman who invited a homeless man to live with her family, to the strains of an insipid “We Are the World” type of background song.

This must be the sequel of the dippy Mass Mutual’s Super Bowl “I’ll Stand by You” commercial, in which a women invites a homeless Black man into her home. Yeah. Sure.

Terry Dunford is accused of stabbing and killing a mother of four who was trying to help him through a tough time. (Denver Police Department ) Sad story but what was this 49 year old woman thinking!

There’s more to this than what we know. Was the silly woman sleeping with the homeless guy(s). I don’t believe it was just niceness. Was he her drug connection?
