The slip in NBC's ratings have caused tension at the network and even Lester Holt's position at NBC Nightly News is reportedly in jeopardy.
ABC's World News Tonight with David Muir passed Holt in overall audience during the Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, causing some top NBC executives to sweat.
Sources told PageSix that if Holt's stats were ever to get the point that the network needed to make a change in the anchor's chair, NBC would be in a major bind.

I wish I saw it but the event did not start until 8:30 pm EST and the medal contenders would not skate until past 11 pm. Can’t stay up that late.
Olympics, fake news and abysmal primetime lineup. We don’t watch NBC at all. Zilch. Zero. Nada. Nothing for years and years.
Terrible coverage and “All Gay All the Time” ... a recipe for changing the channel.
People don’t work 9-5 anymore. They’re up at all hours so there’s no reason not to air the events live.
Scott Hamilton is a good commentator as is the woman with him. Cnbc curling is good. The commentator is knowledgeable and they have short segments called CURL TALK where they explain a curling term.

Making these games the POOFER games was beyond silly.
Playing up some schlub who had ZERO chance to medal, just because he is a flamboyant self absorbed homosexual, was STUPID.
Broadcasting to men kissing, STUPID.... Making your audience want to throw up is not good for ratings.
Prime time lineups that were terrible. Rarely if ever mentioning medal counts... etc etc... Just lousy left wing, stupid agenda influenced coverage... America tuned out.
They got the gay skater out of his colorful clothes but he is still terrible to listen to on the Tube.
Yes, I am not sure why Scott Hamilton was not announcing on the main channel, he was on their secondary channel. The main channel was about another homosexual and Tara Lapinsky(sp)
This was clearly the gay games for NBC and it bit them in the arse, no pun intended.
Hamilton should have had his regular spot, but nope sexual orientation checkboxes must rule.
A huge problem is the major time zone difference—a problem that won’t be solved with the Summer Olympics in Tokyo in 2020 and the next Winter Olympics in Beijing in 2022.
It is not watchable. Half the l. Stations come up blank. Other ones you click on to view aren’t always on the subject. I gave up.

You are correct about that. On Facebook, I get updates from NBC Olympics about what’s going on.
Anything that remotely involved Adam Rippon was posted all over their site 24/7. It was over-kill on a massive scale.
I could not possibly care any less about the Olympics this year. I was looking forward to watching, sharing the excitement with my child, but all the SJWs and athlete virtue signaling killed the whole experience for me. They can pound sand. I have many other things I can do with my time.

I’m sorry NBC, but having to listen to Johnny Weird made me reach for the remote.
So glad it’s almost over. I watched on DVR and fast forwarded commercials and it was still awful.
Then people started saying "Winter Olympics So White", and the USOC decided they needed to field a team that "Looks Like America", with the predictable results.
Not as if we didn’t know then the male skaters were gay, but they kept it to themselves.
