In college I read a book on the Jersey Devil and was interested to read about something they referred to as "Devil week". Multiple sightings all over South Jersey. Since I am a Jersey native and had access to Rutgers newspaper archives, I decided to look up the news reports from those days. Many reports by many people in different locations, all pretty similar. Some pretty vivid, like a creature devouring a dog and being chased off by a cop who shot at it. The prints in the snow resembled hooves. Delusion? Dunno. But something ate that dog. Anyway it was pretty interesting.
