In the wake of the recent Florida school shooting, a chorus of well-meaning folks is demanding, “Enough—it’s time to do something!” As usual that “something” includes tougher gun controls and universal background checks—technocratic “solutions” that are ineffective at best and detrimental at worst (continued at link)

Why did the “student” know the shooter’s name
from the closet BEFORE anyone else did?
Why was the stand-down orders given?
Why has the coverup lasted more than 1 week?
How many more have been killed/taken/raped/assaulted
by the same cowardly procurers?
How many witnesses have been silenced or killed so
far in this county?

Something was done when the Bill of Rights was created that guaranteed we can all “do something” to keep our kids and community safe.
I wish those “well-meaning folks” would say that “it’s time to do something” about illegal immigration. A lot of them have but those protests go unnoticed by the extreme left, “mainstream media”.

If we got rid of the B.S. courses, it would free up some funding. If we decertified unions, teachers would have more take home pay and that would mean fewer demands for pay raises.
These are not PC solutions but ones that would work.

And everyone KNOWS that (the elimination of prayer in schools) was when the trouble started and it is at least the effort to correct a very serious wrong in American culture.
When you say access control, you mean locked doors and security systems that require positive identification and preparation for a visitor ?

A psychopath can sweet talk his way through one of those. When I do penetration tests on systems for my clients, I can sweet talk anything from just about anyone in the building. People are like that.

We invented the sword, the battle axe, the cannon and yes - the gun. And it is our natural right to be able to use these things in defense of ourselves and those around us.
When it comes to the actual law, the real “law of the land” this right is re-affirmed. And things were going along just fine until people started to be abused to a point of no longer being people. Through chemical exercises (Such as psych-prescriptions) or behavioral (Abusive families or situations that they should and could be removed from).
Now these people are out there in droves and we need the first group of people to be on the lookout for the second group of people.
To tie these together with the gun we examine the life and work of John Moses Browning. ‘The great equalizer” gives small, weaker people the ability to defend themselves and others against superior physical threats.
Anything else.. and I mean ANYTHING ELSE (Such as banning bump stocks) changes this balance and more people will get hurt... Because that’s how the balance is changed. That side of the equation will always take the hit.

I understand this morning Pam Bondi, the Fla AG was specifically asked if there was a stand down order. Her answer: “I can’t talk about that”.

If the shooter had been shouting these two words, liberals would be screaming "Don't blame and punish all Muslims for the actions of one crazed individual."
Since the shooter did not shout these words, liberals are screaming "Blame and punish all gun owners for the actions of this one typical individual".

I have a business associate who does that for a living. He’s walked into telecom closets at banks with nothing but a fake badge, shirt, and a spray tank full of water presenting himself as The Orkin Man.
He successfully penetrated half a dozen branches before someone stopped him.

If he ran down and killed those Kids using a Car or Truck, the only sensible solution would be banning Cars and Trucks, right?
They should ban the combination of Evil and Human Ingenuity. I’m sure that will be as effective as making Murder Illegal.
I meant the whole property, but I didn’t that there should not be armed personnel inside. Even individuals who have proper id to enter should go through scanner. Policy of no “sweet-talks” should be strictly enforced. Personnel who have no ID should be escorted by security personnel AND the individual who is be be contacted.
