Stupid PC strikes again!
You can call a rock a cupcake, but you shouldn't ever try to eat one.
Nor should these children ever be mainstreamed.

What else do you call democrats? Retarded.
Yes, it's sad that they got the short end of the DNA stick, or that their pregnant mother put away a quart of Johnny Walker every day.
However, only Leftists try to ban a word because they don't like the truth it imparts.

Rebel Donut is teaming up with a local organization to wipe out a derogatory word once and for all.
The business, along with Special Olympics New Mexico, has launched a donut campaign to eradicate the R-word. The goal is to promote inclusion and acceptance of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. When did words cross the dimension of the real into delusional (the D-word) territory?
Wipe out?
Seriously?
Are the promoters of this delusion planning to collect and burn, or rip out pages of every dictionary ever published?

Whatever new word is used to replace "retarded," that new word, too, will eventually also be considered pejorative.
It's a never-ending struggle and thus ultimately pointless.

Having worked often with Downs Syndrome patients during my decades-long career in health care I would never use the word "retard" to describe any person with a brain disorder that affects intellectual capacity.
However,I have no problem calling Bella Pelosi a retard...among other things.

The goal is to promote inclusion and acceptance of people with intellectual and developmental disabilitiesDrill down.
When you want "inclusion" of people who are ordinarily not included in some activity, what are you asking for?
When you want "acceptance" of people who are normally not accepted, or, more commonly, whose behavior is normally not accepted, what are you asking for?
