Catholic sociologist Stephen Bullivant has issued a detailed report on the state of Christianity in Europe. It is not encouraging. Bullivant, who teaches at St. Marys University, outside of London, is director of the Benedict XVI Centre for Religion and Society. The report, European Young Adults and Religion, measured religious practice and affiliation in 22 countries; the data were taken from a survey of those aged 16-29.
The proportion of young adults with no religious affiliation ranges from a high of 91 percent in the Czech Republic to a low of 17 percent in Poland. Following the Czech Republic are Estonia, Sweden, and the Netherlands; between 70 percent and 80 percent of young adults in those countries have no religious affiliation. The next most religious country to Poland is Lithuania; Austria and Ireland also post respectable numbers.
Conditions in the United Kingdom have changed markedly. More young people there identify as Catholic (10 percent) than Anglican (7 percent), with Muslims (6 percent) coming on fast.
Attendance at religious services has fallen off dramatically, as has the proportion of young people who pray. Poland is the least affected by the secularization of Europe; Estonia, the Czech Republic, and the Scandinavian countries are the most secular.
What does this mean? Bullivant maintains that Christianity as a default, as a norm, is gone, and probably gone for goodor at least for the next 100 years. He adds that In 20 or 30 years time, mainstream churches will be smaller, but the few people left will be highly committed....

Every Nation that fields an army aha instead Jerusalem when Christ returns will be wiped from the face of the earth. Europe is on a short path anyway.
That makes sense. There is a whole lot less converting going on than advertised. Given the opportunity, these ‘converts’ will deconvert in a hurry.
Europe needs missionaries. Christians need to reinvent a robust culture grounded in traditional ethics and natural law. Socialism must be eliminated or Europe will end up poor, destroyed, stupid, and violent.
Maybe because their form of ‘church’ has watered down the Gospel until it’s unrecognizable?
Instead of calling out sin (which has already been judged and penalty named), these ‘churches’ have preached a different gospel. They’ve been infiltrated by evil and have joined with the world in agreement that perverts of all sorts are normal and should be accepted into the Christian church.
And, as if that’s not wicked enough, some ‘churches’ have proclaimed that God is a female.
These ‘churches’ are dead, there is no power there — they are not Christian in any sense of the word, so why would anyone waste their time?
Not seeing this as news here, at all, given that most of Europe has been slowly pulling away from Christianity for nearly a century......
The pope has abandoned it, but faithful Catholics have not. The Church will ultimately prevail.
When we come to the end of our lives, our "stuff" will not save us; the praise we received from men will not save us; our good works will not save us; our parents will not save us.
Jesus proclaimed, "I am the way, the truth and the life. No man comes to the Father, but by me." Jesus is either Messiah and savior - or He is a liar.
To steal a line from the Indiana Jones Last Crusade movie in the scene where the Nazi villain chooses and drinks from the wrong cup of Christ (Holy Grail), the old Crusader says, "he chose poorly" as we see the Nazi shrivel up and die.
Those who choose Christ have chosen wisely!
Some on the Left are atheists...but there really is no such thing as an atheist. Everyone worships something, be it their god or God...or an idol like money, power, sex, ideology, etc.
Everyone has their raison d'être.
Back to the Left.
Some are idol worshipers...and some are true-blue Satanists (but a very small number are true-blue).
BTW, as an aside, let me quickly that some people are agnostics...but I classify agnostics as mostly believers in God who are works in progress. They will come around...but they like to move slowly and carefully. Nothing wrong with that. That's just how some people are.
Bottom line time.
The idol worshipers on the Left don't believe in God, but they recognize the great prowess of Islam in controlling the stupid masses (we conservatives and deplorables). They don't mind pretending to be Islamic converts if it means power, sex, money...and, in many cases, a means to buggery and pederasty. That's a specialty of the Left.
And now to the Satanists. They know damn well that Allah is Satan, so they are quite comfy worshiping him in this queer cobbled together desert "religion"...for a while.
The true believers know the goal. Muslims have to freaking idea about the goal.
That said, a missionary might save some souls and that is certainly worth the effort. Every life saved is worth it.
But Europe like America was built on a foundation of Judeo/Christianity (actually Judaism completed by Christ).
When the foundation is remove...the building will fall.
Europe and the U.S. will fall in part...but a remnant will rise up.
We are that remnant.
Gird your loins and grab your AR.
The time is coming when we will rise up.
BTW, an AR is good but a sniper's rifle is also needed.
With a very good scope.;-)
you mean they are leaving the church after years of being raped by priests and late covered up by the pope. I can’t understand why they would leave Christianity.
Islam will cause the revival of Christianity. The conflict of ethics systems will require them to examine the essence of humanity and our existence.
I grew up in the UK, I was one of very few that had a family attending church. Most have absolutely no idea of why their culture is as it is. The lack of Christian teachings over more than a generation have left them without the tools to understand why. This is really why Islam can proliferate, to them it is ‘just’ another religion. The Muslims have infested all institutions and have established that criticizing Islam is racist. You can’t say a word. This is leading to all the censorship.
Soon we will see the SHTF.
I lost the ability to 'believe' when I was nine years old. Until that age, I was capable of accepting a truth, merely because an authority figure asserted it.
I will admit that there are some things in life that I've willingly chosen to believe are true - even without solid evidence - but I tend to base that belief on rational conclusions and subjective reasoning.
You've posed a tantalizingly philosophical question that could easily generate an epic thread.
You dont have a soul. You are a Soul. You have a body.
