Inside the Last Days of the Hillary Clinton Campaign

Had I never left the Obama White House to be part of the campaign, I am sure I would have asked the same question. I probably would have printed out the transcript of her remarks, and pored over them, trying to isolate the essence of what she had said that made this speech so much more appealing than anything she had said during the campaign. And I wouldn’t have found it. Because I needed to have the experience of working for a female presidential candidate to understand that why we liked “this Hillary” so much better than “candidate Hillary.” Fundamentally it wasn’t about the words she used in her concession speech but what she represented. She was no longer a woman pushing to be president. She was a gracious loser putting the needs of her country above her own. It was the role of Hillary as an ambitious candidate that troubled us.

media has been on a full court press to elect Democrats

This, pretty much above anything.

Case in point... Hillary came and spoke at a predominantly women's school, locally. Media published footage of her speaking to college-aged girls, looking rapturously up at her. Nice tight photos, good shots of tears glistening in their eyes...

Breitbart (I think) published the entire shot, pulled back. Wasn't more than a few dozens of people in the crowd, and they were outnumbered by press and other hangers-on. Room was mostly empty.

Meanwhile, in the same town to little other than local media coverage, Trump was speaking to standing-room only crowds while *thousands* more stood outside in a thunderstorm to listen to a canned campaign speech.

I knew at that moment that the election was Trump's if he didn't screw it up. But you wouldn't have drawn that conclusion, listening to the media.

Great quote, thanks for posting, and let me be the first to say that anyone repeating it is a racist, bigoted, homophobic, right-wing, facist. /sarc

Fundamentally it wasn’t about the words she used in her concession speech but what she represented. She was no longer a woman pushing to be president. She was a gracious loser putting the needs of her country above her own.
The upshot is, never ever vote for a candidate who has someone working for her who can't actually hear what is being said. Hitlery wasn't a gracious loser, although she was probably, briefly, a cut above Al Gore. And of course, she had plausible denial regarding the activities of the various criminals in and out of gov't and media who have been smearing Donald Trump and his family and a number of his associates, all the while they undermine the Constitution and our republic. Partisan Media Shill ping. Thanks pabianice.

The feminist and likely misandrist writer suffer from the same delusion as those who claim racism as the reason for not voting for Obama, ignoring that conservatives same favored Herman Cain and affirm Margret Thatcher. Men should be in leadership, but a strongly conservative female would have overwhelmingly received the conservative vote over Hillary, whose lose was due to her being so far on the left, against a conservative candidate who loved his country and refused to play the politically correct game.

But also note that while biology and appearance are not supposed to matter when the issue is homosexual rights, biology and appearance are of paramount importance when the issue is affirmation of race or gender.

Below are a few examples of the psychosis charged:

I do believe we encountered an unconscious but pervasive gender bias that held Hillary back in many ways. I think it’s that subtle gender bias that made people find her so vexing.

By the end of that day in Iowa, we understood that the FBI’s new actions on emails were actually related to the case it was pursuing against Huma Abedin’s then-husband, Anthony Weiner. It was wrenching to watch the pain this news caused Huma. She was distraught. Hillary and I sat with her in our cabin on the plane as Huma sobbed. “He is going to kill me” was all Huma could manage to say in between sobs.

I told them the campaign felt like a Batman-movie version of a presidential campaign — Christopher Nolan-style. Both candidates were from Gotham. Trump was our lead villain but had help from side characters like Putin and Assange.

it was beginning to feel like we were upsetting some cosmic natural balance by seeking to “upend the patriarchy.” I didn’t really believe it, of course, but a large part of the country seemed to believe Hillary represented an existential threat to the proper order of things.

It was on us to save America and we let her blow up. I recall President Obama pointing at me in jest just 36 hours earlier as he left the Philadelphia rally on Monday night, saying, “Do not mess this up!” “We got it, we got it,” I replied.
