Tottenham shooting: Girl, 17, dies from gunshot wound

Two shootings in London in the space of an hour have left a 17-year-old girl dead and a boy, 16, critically ill.

The teenage girl was found with a bullet wound in Tottenham on Monday night and pronounced dead at the scene.

The boy had been found with gunshot wounds in Walthamstow earlier, with another boy, 15 who had stab injuries.

The shootings come amid concerns over rising violent crime in the capital. Police are not treating the shootings as linked.

Stella Creasy, MP for Walthamstow, said the 16-year-old boy - who was shot on Markhouse Road and taken to a hospital in east London - is still in "intensive care".

She added that the 15-year-old boy's stab injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

In Tottenham, a police cordon remains in place in Chalgrove Road, near Northumberland Park, where the girl was pronounced dead at 22:43 BST.

A witness said a woman, believed to be the victim's mother, began "screaming" when she discovered the girl shortly after the shooting.

David Lammy, MP for Tottenham, said he is "deeply worried" about London's rise in violent crime - particularly in his area.

"There is no single cause, but there has been a big spike in both gun crime and knife crime across London," he said.

"Certainly my constituency finds itself at the epicentre of that. there are real issues about a lack of resources."

Funny how the invaders manage to arm themselves. I thought guns and pointy kitchen knives were illegal over there. You know...for safety.

“There is no single cause, but there has been a big spike in both gun crime.......”

So lets take away all guns to make us all safe. England hasn’t allowed gun ownership for decades yet there are still those with guns doing their deeds. Proves that gun removal does not solve the problem.

Forgot to add a question...Why aren’t the media still reporting all the shootings in Chicago, where guns are outlawed? Certainly there are still numerous shootings still going on there.

Just a cultural thing, like here.

Exactly!
They won’t have resources to pursue this crime, but they’ll send the entire top-hatted London SWAT after a 16 year old Limey who dares to question Islam and “migrants”.

It’s all those guns coming in from Virginia that are causing the problem. Or something...

But but but how can this be? I thought guns were illegal there. Maybe they should pass another law to make guns extra special super duper illegal. Surely that will solve the problem.

Well that's unpossible. Guns are banned in England, so therefore no one can get shot by them.

Two shootings in England in an hour? Why, that’s impossible! Nobody can keep guns at their home, they have to be locked up in a gun club! And certainly nobody can carry a gun on their person! Why, that’s, that’s ILLEGAL! Who would possibly violate the law?

That’s insane. Why would you let your family go to a moslem terrorist city?

I don’t LET my family do anything——they are all adults and have all, with 2 exceptions, been to London in the last couple of years.

They love it there.
