Just donated $50 to Free Republic to compensate for this vanity.
I need advice on a new camcorder. My son is getting married in mid-May. I would like to live feed the video for two set of grandparents but not mandatory. Want to keep price under $300. Please help me.
If its just for a live feed for the grandparents, have someone not as connected to the wedding video it live, no need to use a camcorder which may no offer exist anyway. A good iPhone especially a X, could be sufficient for that live feed. Mazel tov.
Camcorder? Holy 1990 Batman!
LOL!
I imagine it must have especially tough producing crappy videos with all the image stabilizing and auto focus technology constantly fighting you.
But it’s excellent advice... and applicable to anything you’re asked to do, but don’t want to do and don’t want to just say no.
12 apps that do live streaming...

Got my first camcorder in 86 or 87. Full VHS unit. Big
heavy. Took it to various kids destinations like zoos, amusement parks. My kids were small. Image stabilization was nil. Auto focus
slow or none. I screwed up some interesting scenes but it was ok.
I would take it up to my annual deer hunting expeditions. Too big and clumsy to take in the woods but we would video us chopping wood and interviewing successful hunters
and unsuccessful hunters. My brother screwed up so many years when he should have gotten deer, he would freak out if the camera was out and I approached him. He was so mad one year he threatened it insert the camera In a very painful spot.
As the years went on I got more and more grief from the wife about my camera skills.
Then it broke. I was in heaven. For about a year no camcorder.
Then for my birthday the wife got me another huge camcorder at costco. It went back to costco the next day.
She eventually bought a new smaller one for herself but thought I would be the one wielding it. I never did. Its still around somewhere.
Anyway we all have iPhones. They all can be used for short videos and occasionally myself or my grown kids will use it for that purpose.

LOL. I can just visualize the scene...
What an ingrates your brother was. Here you are trying to immortalize one of his potentially glorious moment, and how does he reward you?
