Caitlyn Jenner has claimed that Donald Trump has set the transgender community in the U.S. back 20 years in an address to the British Parliament.
The I Am Cait star, a registered Republican, urged the UK not to go down the same road in her address in the House of Commons. The address was the featured speech at Channel 4s annual diversity lecture.
Jenner reportedly voted for Trump but subsequently revealed a case of buyers remorse after branding his decision to end federal protections allowing transgender students to use bathrooms that correspond with their gender identity a disaster.
Introduced by Channel 4 CEO Alex Mahon, Jenner also called London possibly the most culturally diverse city in the world.
Jenner, who transitioned in 2015, discussed the first few years of her experience. When I came out the first year was very good, everything was going along great and then all of a sudden I became this person of privilege. I didnt get it when it came to the trans community, we have a very marginalized community and I didnt get it and I got so much of this for so long. I will never apologize for everything Ive been able to do because Ive worked very hard and Im not going to apologize for working hard and being successful. But what that does is gives me a sense of privilege but it also gives me a platform.
I always suggest to every trans person out there, everybody has a platform that they can utilize to make it just a little bit better for the next generation coming up, she added.
Jenners comments come after the move to feature her in the lecture was criticized by a number of people. RuPauls Drag Race star Carmen Carrera said that Jenners number one mission was to be the Mother Theresa of this community, while transgender comedian Shon Faye said Jenners life story is far removed from what British politicians need to be hearing and considering on this issue.
Guess I’m having trouble seeing the down side of this “set back” . . .
Winning!
“Caitlyn Jenner has claimed that Donald Trump has set the transgender community in the U.S. back 20 years I would like to see it set back 220 years
20 years ago I never heard the term Transgender Community. Now I can’t even go an hour without hearing about these psychotic people. I’d say that is all we ever hear about or talk about.
What Jenner thinks about Trump does not mean one iota to me. It’s the same mental illness that made him (try) to become a woman in the first place.
A moot point.
Here I was hoping it was 1,000 years.
Thats funny yet you still posted to the thread
Freak regrets voting for normal President
Good, that's a start towards minimizing their propaganda push on our kids.
If Trump had set transgender back 20 years, Jenner would be a guy again.
Whos that old Caitlyn woman, anyway? Is that Bruces mom? Speaking of Bruce, where IS he these days?
We're gettin' gooder.
Who cares what a frickin weirdo has to say!
What does it say about the low status these days of the British Parliament when they allow a freak like this to address it.
Mentally ill Bruce Jenner has made our society even more sick.
The proper place for trannies in this society, is within the walls of their own homes. When they go into public, the best thing that can happen, is they are shunned and laughed at. Sorry, but that is the proper response. Like the homosexuals, invite them nicely to return to the closet until they learn to shut their mouths. There was a saying about male on male love “love that cannot speak” or something like that. It is now homosexuals, the creeps that will never shut up. Far from being publicity shy, the 5% dominate the 95%.
This is one of the Libtards’ obsessions: transgenderism. Let the Rats hoist this into their pathetic “platform” along with unfettered abortion, open borders, grabbing guns, reparations, and raising taxes.
I left the Rat party 25 years ago because even then I realized they were a party of freaks and nuts. At that time I thought they couldn’t stoop any lower, be any crazier, etc. I obviously was wrong.
Not far enough then
