I too was going to make a comment..tks for clearing that up mairdie. I say this because the other day I was surpried to see Thomas Wictor I believe make a comment about not being religious. I look up to him on most information pertaining to military and weapons. He’s very good on both for sure.:^)

NIKK and mairdie, you are very gracious in seeking to keep comments to posters straight. It is not easy to do sometimes.
I do not wish to speak for generally, but I did not have any sense that she was in any way denigrating atheists, but unsure about them and their actions in body politic.
Many Christians, again not wishing to speak for generally, have a sense, sometimes hard-won, that a lack of belief in God CAN presage immoral or insensitive behavior. NOT always the case, but in a possible system of personal alerts, that could be appropriate on a LONG list to help with finding the sometimes elusive discernment.

That is a good reading of my intent.
I am NOT anti-atheist, but I do question their motivations/morals. I know many, many patriotic atheists. But I also know some bad actors. When I am dealing with someone who is religious, I know what their moral code is. Or at least what they claim it is. But with atheists, there is no God they have to answer to, so they can make it up as they go along.
