This thread is a friendly collaborative place for FReepers to analyze information and share opinons. FReepers have a wide variety of reasons for investigating Q Anon content; this is not the appropriate place to criticize or badger those who choose to use some of their time in this manner.

Q "drops" (i.e., posts) can be read with their original formatting on various websites. Sometimes the Q drop websites come under cyber attack or stop updating. This week, I've been using the following link:

Oh, you read some of McConnell’s writings and you think he’s a good guy. That’s a relief, I was worried.

Someone tell me why Schneiderman's removal was important other than what we can all see.

We know that Schneiderman was blocking and shutting down investigations. With him gone and replaced by a real person, those investigations can proceed?

But of course that's what we can all see. Not sure there's anything else or what it may be. Whatever it is, it's 'extremely' relevant.

Can "When does the clock run out" pertain to the statute of limitations and the New York investigations that Schneiderman was blocking?

I think it might.

From within the department, the acting DAG need not have been a position confirmable by the senate, as Huber and Donoghue are. IOW, he has lower positions to choose from. “Senior civil service lawyers” are not subject to Senate advise and consent. US Attorneys are.

ThankQ - that’s sort of what I meant...I think... so POTUS appoints an acting AAG, and that acting one can stay for 210 days, at which point POTUS has to appoint a permanent one.

Who, apparently, is someone the existing big dogs in the DOJ suggest to POTUS, or usually that is the case.

Coming down on the right side of homos vs anything is a very good sign. And Pinocchio seems okay too? Good news.

I also did research, even though my civics class had stated for the purposes of Presidential eligibility, it had to be 2 citizen parents and born on American soil. Also no dual citizen status allowed.

I found a State Dept. Document for the overseas offices to use to register Am. citizens. That document made a distinction between citizenship by statute, versus natural born citizen for constitutional requirement for eligibility.

Further stated that no court had determined that a person born overseas would be eligible - those who were concerned with the issue should return stateside to give birth.

I also read an interesting legalistic document, discussing the various court cases as well as legislation. Congress has the constitutional authority to establish requirements for naturalized citizens who have immigrated.

This document seemed to state that Congress did not have the authority to define the term natural born citizen requirement for President - that would take a constitutional amendment.

I also read about a Supreme Court decision where it was stated that there were no doubts that a child born to 2 citizen parents born on US soil was a citizen, but as to other categories there were doubts.

Then they noted that it was not necessary to determine the answer to that question for the case in front of them. Too bad they didn’t take the opportunity to settle it right then and there.

I didn’t really participate much in those discussions - I felt he was so unqualified and his politics so radical, that was what needed to be questioned the most, since the press had already succeeded in labeling the birth issue as nutty.

pertinent point 14th amendment: The Citizenship Clause is the first sentence of Section 1 in the Fourteenth Amendment to the United States Constitution, which was adopted on July 9, 1868. It states that "All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside." This clause represented Congress's reversal of a portion of the Dred Scott v. Sandford decision which had declared that African Americans were not and could not become citizens of the United States or enjoy any of the privileges and immunities of citizenship.
