There are a handful of political poisons that conservatives fall victim to swallowing that inevitably lead to "death" at the polls. I could talk about the lack of political fortitude (call it like it is), or even the inability, to articulate a clear and concise message to the people in a world where cryptic political double-speak is considered graceful, but for today, the focus is placed on the importance of who should be, and who should not be, allowed to walk under the banner of the Conservative Movement. Liberals always hate the analogy, "birds of a feather flock together," because...

Isn't this interesting.... I am on the west coast, in Oregon. And those who know me, know I have been doing a lot of writings in the last year that have been ...critical... of Obama to the say the very least. I have been investigating his British Birth, and making inquires at the Hawaiian Department of Health with UIPA requests. Last night while playing an online game (WOW) my husband noticed his latency just shoot through the roof. From 71 to about 340 ms. After resetting the modem a couple of times, he got angry enough to call Verizon and...

I love a conspiracy theory, how about you? Although this one isn't necessarily new -- lots of folks have opined about the convenient coincidence of an escalating so-called pandemic mixed with an under-supply of vaccinations while the country debates healthcare reform -- it's all the more delicious when it comes from a rock star of some note. With that in mind, when singer, songwriter, and leader of the now defunct alternative band The Smashing Pumpkins suggests swine flu "is not a naturally occurring virus," and that "President Obama has declared a national emergency" when "there isn’t one," you have to...

OCTOBER 29--A federal judge today dismissed a lawsuit brought by individuals claiming that Barack Obama was born in Kenya and, as a result, does not meet the qualifications to be president. Along with bouncing the lawsuit, U.S. District Court Judge David Carter eviscerated the controversial lawyer representing the "birthers" who sued Obama. In a 30-page order filed today, Carter stated that he was "deeply concerned" that attorney Orly Taitz "may have suborned perjury through witnesses she intended to bring before this court." Carter, who was appointed to the federal bench in 1998 by President Bill Clinton, noted that he had...

Local media coverage of Tarek Mehanna, the Sudbury, MA "wannabe" terrorist, was extensive but it rather limited in scope. The media stories focused on how shocked, shocked people were that an educated, affluent young Muslim was accused of planning to commit terrorist activities. And especially Tarek Mehanna, that gentle soul, his neighors and classmates couldn't believe that he wanted to wage jihad and kill kufirs (non-believers). The other angle frequently reported was that Tarek was an incompetent wannabe terrorist...People wouldn't be so smug though, if Tarek and co-conspirator Ahmed Abousamra had pulled off a Mumbai-type attack. There is much more...

Former Vice President Al Gore a few years ago advised Internet behemoth Google about "aspects of search quality." Such was reported by the New Yorker in its October 12 issue (subscription required). By themselves, the following paragraphs from this 6500-word piece don't mean much. However, given the ongoing concerns about Google's political leanings and how its search algorithms might be manipulated to favor liberal news outlets over conservative points of view, the very idea that Gore might have had any input to this process is worrisome to say the least. So, a few years ago, Gore raised some concerns about...

(NaturalNews) Prepare to have your world rocked. What you're about to read here will leave you astonished, inspired and outraged all at the same time. You're about to be treated to some little-known information demonstrating why seasonal flu vaccines are utterly worthless and why their continued promotion is based entirely on fabricated studies and medical mythology. If the whole world knew what you're about to read here, the vaccine industry would collapse overnight. This information comes to you courtesy of a brilliant article published in The Atlantic (November 2009). The article, written by Shannon Brownlee and Jeanne Lenzer, isn't just...

As the dollar plummets, Sarah Palin has taken up the dialogue on behalf of America’s best interests even as our elected President schemes with George Soros to move our nation precipitously closer to Socialism, and perhaps even a one-world currency. ...Palin links the dependence on foreign oil and large U.S. deficits to declines in the dollar . “We can see the effect of this in the price of gold, which hit a record high today in response to fears about the weakened dollar,” Palin wrote. Palin’s power for using her Facebook page to affect public opinion is not to be...

I'm watching a collection of old news footage from the JFK assassination on the History Channel right now, and was wondering if any Freepers have any theories about what really happened. I figure with the great wealth of knowledge here on Free Republic, there's got to be some pretty good theories waiting to be shared.

Is there anything left to be said—or seen—when it comes to the assassination of President John F. Kennedy? Just you wait. JFK: 3 Shots That Changed America, a two-part, four-hour special airing on History [Sunday, October 11, 9/8c and Monday, October 12, 9/8c] takes viewers back to November 22, 1963 and tells the story via a timeline using only archival news footage, much of which will be new even to assassination buffs. There is no narration (sorry, Peter Coyote). There are no talking heads. The project’s exec producers Nicole Rittenmeyer and Seth Skundrick used a similar technique in last year’s...

On Sunday night, the History channel be gins a remarkable three-hour, two-part program on the assassination of JFK, perhaps the best on that subject you will ever see. And even if you think you've seen it all and can't bear to see it again, well, then think again.

A judge in Minnesota has sentenced three men for exporting high-tech carbon-fiber to the China Academy of Space Technology in violation of U.S. export laws. U.S. District Judge Michael Davis sentenced Jian Wei Ding, 51, of Singapore, to three years and 10 months in prison. Kok Tong Lim, 37, of Singapore, was sentenced to just over one year of confinement because of his cooperation. Ping Cheng, 46, of Manhasset, N.Y., drew one year of probation because also cooperated.

Coming up in multiple discussions of late has been the subject of "Conspiracy Theory." Former Green Jobs Czar Van Jones was primarily pushed out of his post because he signed a statement sympathetic to those who preach that the government was somehow involved in orchestrating 9/11. More recently in the debate over Glenn Beck, the talk show star's opponents (both on the left and the wimpy right) have tried to suggest that the problem with the media sensation is that he's a "conspiracy theorist" or that he cavorts with those who harbor such sympathies. And who could forget the waves...

I am a proud card-carrying, member of the “vast right-wing conspiracy.” The phrase is back with a vengeance. Whenever Democrats start losing the battle of ideas, it has to be because of a conspiracy. It can’t be because the ideas are old, worn and without substance. In the 24/7, talk radio, blogosphere media world, old and worn is just old and worn, which is why conservative talk radio is commercially viable and liberal talk radio isn’t. Even the ombudsman of The New York Times had to admit they were off their mark in completely missing the Van Jones and ACORN...

In 1998, then First Lady Hillary Clinton famously observed that a “vast right-wing conspiracy” was subverting her husband’s presidency. A decade later, a similar gang of Republican miscreants has mobilized to bring down the Obama administration and healthcare reform. Recent conservative attacks resulted in the firing of Van Jones. Didn’t liberals learn anything from the coordinated assaults on the Clinton administration? Why isn’t there a left-wing “conspiracy” to counter the kamikaze tactics of the right? The conservative attack machine has three components. The first is political. Conservatives have adopted what Clinton adviser, Sidney Blumenthal, termed the perpetual campaign. As soon...

Ask Pakistanis why the United States needs to expand its embassy here in the capital and you'll hear a host of alarming answers. It's a cover for the construction of a Guantanamo-like prison. It's part of a U.S. attempt to colonize Pakistan. It's the first step in a covert plan to take over Pakistan's nuclear weapons. What you don't hear is the reason cited by American officials: the need for a bigger embassy operation to better manage the increased financial aid that Washington will be channeling to Pakistan in coming months... Embassy officials have held briefings for Pakistani reporters to...

A new website called 9/22 Warning was registered on 9/13 and is laying claim that the US Government will lay siege to the city of Chicago on 9/22 with a nuclear attack. The site explains how a sequel to 9/11 could occur on 9/12 or 9/22 rather than on 9/11 itself, but it goes further to explain why Chicago might be the alleged target this time around. Some of the "supporting information" that it tries to use to make it's point are tidbits that include: - 9/22/2009 is the first day of fall ("fall" being the operative word here).Well considering...

Yes, but is Glenn Beck good for the conservative movement? After all, even if the man who seriously wondered whether the fasces symbol on the back of a 1917 dime meant that the US government under Wilson was promoting fascism is a little excitable, and, by his own admission, a “clown,” many rock ribbed conservatives seem to have adopted this paranoid waif as one of their own.

Michelle Malkin asked "Who’s behind “Islam on Capitol Hill?” today. Part of the answer is Sheikh Ahmed Dewidar who, shortly after 9/11, implied Jews were complicit in the mass-murder of the 2,976. On June 6, 2006, the Steven Stalinsky wrote about it in the New York Sun: Within weeks of September 11, 2001, an Egyptian sheik serving as Al-Azhar University's representative in America and an imam at the Islamic Cultural Center and Mosque of New York City, Muhammad al-Gamei'a, was interviewed at an unofficial Al-Azhar University Web site, www.lailatalqadr.com. Sheik al-Gamei'a returned to Egypt shortly after his interview was translated....

The Shark Guys lay it all out: 10) Spencer and Heidi Pratt:(Excerpts from an appearance on the radio show of Alex Jones , himself a conspiracy theorist and the man behind “The Obama Deception” ): “We’ve been nonstop researching the Internet … for information for at least a month all day every day,” said Heidi. Spencer added: “From your [Jones'] research, it [9/11] 100 percent is [an inside job] … “I want to throw up.” Hube says: The Pratts, living examples of why modern television is the cultural downfall of civilization (they're the stars of "The Hills"), are regular targets...

The Acorn Mission Statement as posted on their web site: The Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN) aims to organize a majority constituency of low- to moderate-income people across the United States. The members of ACORN take on issues of relevance to their communities, whether those issues are discrimination,........ACORN believes that low- to moderate-income people are the best advocates for their communities, and so ACORN's low- to moderate-income members act as leaders, spokespeople, and decision-makers within the organization. That last line...the one about leaders, spokespeople, and decision makers? That's shaping up well for them. As we've recently seen...

During a hearing in U.S. District Court Monday, an attorney for an Army officer fighting deployment to Iraq questioned Barack Obama’s legal right to serve as president, asserting he was born in Kenya, not Hawaii. Judge Clay Land, inquisitive throughout the 90-minute hearing, said he will issue a decision on Capt. Connie Rhodes’ request for a temporary restraining order by noon Wednesday. Rhodes was represented by Orly Taitz, a California lawyer and a national figure in the “birther” movement that claims Obama does not meet the qualifications to be president. California attorney Orly Taitz, the president of the Defend Our...

Posted by: on September 11, 2009 at 9:48 am That’s what people have been asking all week. The obvious next in line are Cass Sustein, the newly confirmed “regulation czar”; Director of the White House Office of Energy and Climate Change Policy Carol Browner—a “socialist” who wants to kill your air conditioner; and Mark “He strikes me as a Marxist” Lloyd, who works at the FCC. As a general policy, I prefer not to give ink to hatemongering—and I acknowledge that blaming Beck for Jones’s resignation unnecessarily oversimplifies what happened. But things are getting pretty hairy out there, so this...

ACORN has erected an elaborate web of front organizations that allow it to hide its influence and reach. I did a quick search of the internet using the New Orleans address of ACORN. Guess what I found? Almost three hundred organizations connected to ACORN. Well, I would like you to look at the following list of ACORN related organizations that share the same address as ACORN. TWO HUNDRED AND NINETY FOUR names. Got that? This is a tangled web that defies the ability of any one person or organization to figure out who is working for whom. Carnival workers use...

Spare Change Aspiring to Conspire: My Two Cents on Plodding Mayhem David J. Aland, 10 Sep 09 My theory of conspiracy theories: there is no such thing as a successful conspiracy. Conspiracies take time, resources, and secrecy – the first two require co-conspirators, which usually make the third impossible. In the end, no one is smart enough to find that serendipitous balance between keeping partners and keeping things quiet, which is why most conspiracies fail. Still, as a culture we are fond of theorizing about conspiracies. From the grassy knoll to Area 51, Manchurian candidates and The Matrix, moon landings...

The map of the collapse of the United States in 2010, made by Russian scientist of politics Igor Panarin, has received millions of views in the United States over one day only. The Wall Street Journal published the map on its front page at the end of 2008. Alaska is pictured on the map as a part of Russia. Hawaii were shown as a territory of Japan, whereas four new states were pictured on the territory of the USA: the Californian Republic, the Central North American Republic, the Texas Republic and the Atlantic America, which included the traditional states.
Actor Charlie Sheen is demanding a meeting with President Obama to discuss his belief that the September 11 terror attacks were perpetrated by the federal government.

Author’s Note: What you are about to read didn’t actually happen… yet. Charlie Sheen: I recently had the pleasure of sitting down with our 44th President of the United States of America, Barack Hussein Obama, while he was out promoting his health care reform initiative. I requested 30 minutes given the scope and detail of my inquiry; they said I could have 20. Twenty minutes, 1200 seconds, not a lot of time to question the President about one of the most important events in our nation’s history. The following is a transcript of our remarkable discussion. Charlie Sheen – Good...

Here we go again, and this time he's gone and proved it: Oh yes, JPMorgan records on Enron were located in the third World Trade Center building that was treated to demolition, without benefit of an aircraft impact. And there you have it. The "Golden Jackass" proclaims (by logical connection) that 9/11 was a global banking conspiracy carried out for the benefit of "The Ancestral House of Morgan" to hide the complicity of JP Morgan and Enron. 3,000 Americans dead, two planes flown into the WTC towers (or was that "faked" too Jim?), the third building blown up (no, that...

An Iranian official Sunday accused Israel of using psychological warfare to force Iran to halt its uranium enrichment programs, authorities said. That warfare includes Israel's assertion the International Atomic Energy Agency is hiding evidence of an Iranian military nuclear program, Amir Mousavi, a top Iranian affairs analyst said in an interview in Tehran with Israel Radio. Iran's nuclear intentions are peaceful, Mousavi said, noting Iran will have10,000 nuclear centrifuges in operation within two months. Mousavi said Iran is prepared to talk with the West about the nuclear programs but will demand Israel's nuclear stockpile be placed under international supervision, The...

(NaturalNews) It's emblazoned across the front page of USA Today, just underneath a subhead declaring Michael Jackson was, indeed, killed by a drug overdose: "Flu could infect half of USA." The article goes on to describe the predicted number of deaths expected in the U.S. (30,000 - 90,000 Americans) as well as the actions being taken by the government to protect Americans from the coming swine flu pandemic. That advice reads sort of like a comic book of health care advice for kindergarteners: Wash your hands, cover your mouth if you cough and let "the grownups" take care of the...

While it might seem like an unusual morphing of the movies Inside Man and The Hunt for Red October, the account of the cargo ship Arctic Sea is far stranger than either fictional account. Based on information developed through our extensive investigation, we can authoritatively state, without hyperbole, that the mysteries surrounding the MV Arctic Sea are as deep as the Atlantic waters where it navigated and its “alleged” secret cargo as potentially dangerous to an unsuspecting, distracted populace as the coastal rip tides produced by a late summer hurricane. Imagine a 4,000 ton, 100 meter commercial cargo ship, manned...

I need some information on disruptions of meetings by Democrats. Not disruptions of rallys or things of that nature, but actual meetings where Democrats or left wingers were a disruption and did not get arrested. My boyfriend's contention is that Democrats were always arrested if they disrupted a public meeting but no one is being arrested at these town hall meetings and his implication is that there's a double standard at work. I say that's not true but can't find anything online to prove it. Please help me with this. I can't lose this argument! Thanks ;)

President Obama took to the conservative airwaves Thursday to charge that Republican leaders are engaged in a vast right-wing conspiracy to kill health care reform in order to repeat the 1994 mid-term takeover of Congress, which followed the defeat of President Clinton's reform plan. "I think early on, a decision was made by the Republican leadership that said, 'Look, let's not give him a victory, maybe we can have a replay of 1993, '94, when Clinton came in, he failed on health care and then we won in the mid-term elections and we got the majority. Since the government’s only goal was to capture more control of the “well being” equation (also known as GDP) they saw an opportunity in our failing banks. By taking control of the banks they effectively took control of gross investment and they did so as quickly as they possibly could.

We assure you, this is not a fatuous question. Is it possible you may well ask under what circumstances did this happen in 1933? What we can confirm is that in 1933 the U.S. government banned the ownership of gold by U.S. citizens and purchased all but rare gold coins from the U.S. Public
