I’m hoping Billy D whoops the Writer’s ass.
That’s what I call a bad review, a real panning. Fun to read, and likely true, although I wont waste the time to watch it myself.
I think it is time for Star Wars (and Star Trek) to die. It was a huge hit in the 1970s because sci-fi had wandered through a wasteland of depression (similar to what it is doing right now). When the hope of Star Wars hit, combined with revolutionary graphics and catchy music, it was the right movie to end the dreary and depressing 1970’s sci-fi slump.
Today, Star Wars IS the dreary and depressing sci-fi slump.
Someday in the future, the first MAGA-era sci-fi will be released and it will be like its 1977 again!
It was a fun movie. What can I say I don’t usually enter all movies thinking they should all be Citizen Kane but that’s just me
That just guts 38 years of character arc. Is there a human alive more hetero than Billy D. Williams?
Well, that's disturbing.
Is this the same Kathleen Kennedy who ran for governor in Maryland in 2002 (as Kathleen Kennedy Townsend)?
Excellent article by Nolte!!

Thank you.
I nominate Katie Pavlich:
No relation. This Cali KK produced Jurassic Park.
I keep a log of the movies I watch including the date and a brief comment about the movie.
FWIW, here’s my comment on Last Jedi: Prolly last Star Wars movie I’ll see. Has devolved into uninteresting stuff.
“Rogue One” was vaguely entertaining. I viewed it once for no additional charge via a streaming subscription. A forgettable flick.
“The Last Jedi” is the first Star Wars movie I refused to view. It appears to be full blown SJW trash.
“Solo” does not interest me.
I watched “Star Wars” (before it became Episode IV) in theater during its first run. The excitement it generated was amazing! Not only was it enjoyable space opera, but it was fun. It signaled a new generation in Hollywood returning to making good movies.
That made a great franchise plus it launched a quantum advance in movie making technology. Disney purchased both. But in just a few years it has sucked the life out of both. They are doing the same with Pixar.
So no, I am not going to watch Solo or any new Zombie Wars movies. They can lurch along without me.
Every liberal is a violent totalitarian thug.
I watched the first star wars movie in the theater 27 times. I loved “The Empire Strikes Back” and consider it “star wars for adults”. Return of the Jedi is what I call star wars for kids. The story wasn’t bad but the stupid teddy bear stuff was more than I could handle.
The prequils were just dumb. And the Acting, script and directing was atrocious. Not worth watching again.
I’m 64 now. I look for different stuff in movies. I accidentally purchased Rogue 1 and liked it for the simple reason that it ends with the beginning of the original movie. It’s “light” entertainment.
I’m no longer the target audience for these films, though. I’m over special effects with no story to back them up. I need a good story and good acting.
It was a mistake to release it only 5 months after Last Jedi, a few weeks after Infinity War, a week after Deadpool, and shortly before Incredibles 2 and Jurassic World. I can’t remember ever seeing so many blockbusters crammed this close together.
If i wanted to see homosexual loons I’d go to SF not the movies.
No to NFL, no to most of Hollywood, no to ESPN, no to TV.
