Go Woke, Go Broke: ‘Solo’ Crash Lands at Box Office
Breitbart Big-Hollywood ^ | May 26, 2018 | John Nolte

Posted on 05/26/2018 11:33:47 AM PDT by Sparticus

Before we go any further, let’s dispel with The Nonsense. Solo is not collapsing at this weekend’s domestic and international box office over some exotic disease known as Star Wars Fatigue. The idea that the American public is tired of Star Wars because The Last Jedi was released only five months ago, is a heaping-helping of anti-science rubbish.

And Harrison Ford’s Han Solo just exuded Alpha Male heterosexuality.

Meanwhile Alden Ehrenreich makes me think he got the part through long hours on some gay producer’s casting couch.

I agree.

Hey, maybe we could resurrect the “Road to...” movies from the distant past with fresh faces. :) Just kidding.

Most of the movies I really like have no sequels. Ronin is still an amazing classic. I loved Silverado as a just plain fun western. Interstellar was very creative and well done.

And what’s more fun than “That Thing You Do”?

I liked Pocahontis - I mean, Avatar - strictly because I saw it in in IMAX 3D. But I only needed to see it once. BTW, I believe that when the humans got into orbit after being summarily marched into their space ships they then nuked the blues from space. :)

Yep, I saw it last night - the theater wasn’t very full for a Saturday night, and it was mostly guys there.

The movie itself was a creditable effort. Nothing earth shattering, definitely part of a product line. I’d almost watch it again in order to catch up when the next one in line is released.

That’s probably a factor... I, for one, really want to see Incredibles 2. Edna was my favorite character, too.

>> FWIW, here’s my comment on Last Jedi: Prolly last Star Wars movie I’ll see. <<

The Farce Awakens was the last one for me. Tired of these overhyped shallow popcorn movies, SJW or otherwise.

>> “The Force Awakens” was a ham handed ripoff of the original trilogy retold as a chick flick. It was the last Star Wars movie I watched in a theater. It was the first Stars Wars movie that I did not view multiple times or purchase for my home library.

“Rogue One” was vaguely entertaining. I viewed it once for no additional charge via a streaming subscription. A forgettable flick.

“The Last Jedi” is the first Star Wars movie I refused to view. It appears to be full blown SJW trash.

“Solo” does not interest me.

Ditto, except I did not watch The Farce Awakens in theaters. I rented it once on DVD, six months after it had been in theaters and Wars fans were having orgasms over it and claiming the "true" Star Wars was back.

It was a fun movie, but was a forgettable cash grab that didn't live up to the hype.

Indeed. Good stories and good acting no longer exist in Hollywood.

Am grateful we at least have access to decades of “Golden Age” entertainment.

When it comes to reading, I only read “real” science fiction. The star wars series is sort of “science fiction for the masses.” It doesn’t hold a candle to anything produced by the likes of folks like Larry Niven or John Varley.

Star Wars is strictly a movie thing for me.

I didn’t follow it closely, but liked what I saw.

With all that great material to be mined, it baffles me how Disney/Kennedy can produce such garbage.

Billy D. is the only Lando as far as I’m concerned.

$114 million in a weekend ain’t a flop. It’s sad the they feel the need to lie.

The movie is track for a opening of between $120 and $140 Million. By contrast Deadpool opened to about $125 Million.
This film will do fine, it might not hit the numbers they want but that is the way it goes.

Actually not at all. It was well established in the books that Lando was into pretty much whatever. Remember, in a world filled with aliens and fully sentient droids, gay within your own species is actually kind of dull.

Really, we now have a growing technology market of Sex Robots. Last weekend I saw some of the coming thing on YouTube it was mind blowing to say the least Check this link:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5pKczGG19uo&has_verified=1

We are not far from AI Sex Robots and there will be a lot of people that will have them. So Pansexual may be the new term and normal years from now.

By the way there are places in the world opening Brothels that cater only Sex Robots to people.
