Netflix Turning Too Blue? Republicans’ Perception of the Brand Has Dropped, Data Shows
Variety ^ | June 2, 2018 | Todd Spangler

Hollywood’s left-leaning politics has made the industry a bête noire among conservatives for decades. But Netflix has made some recent moves that have especially rankled Republicans.

In March, the streamer named Susan Rice — former national security adviser to President Obama, and a conservative target in the Bengazi scandal — to its board of directors. Last month, Netflix officially announced an exclusive multiyear deal with the Obamas’ Higher Ground Productions for original programming. And last week, it premiered “The Break with Michelle Wolf” — a late-night-style show from the comedian who delivered a blistering takedown of the Trump administration and other conservative politicos at the White House Correspondents Association dinner.

No. I don’t have time to run back and forth to a movie rental box and pay late fees if I miss it. I can easily stream any movie from Fandango or Google Play.

WOW! You certainly answered my question...not.

Why bother answering? I don’t care if you don’t want to rent a dvd or not.

I happen to have a Redbox within a few blocks next to a store I shop at so it is not out of the way.

Anybody use REDBOX for dvd rentals? Pros - Cons?

The Pros are it's convenient and cheap while the Cons are that Hollywood hasn't made a watchable movie is 30 years (+/-)

I dumped netflix. Stupid messycan movies. Bollywood. Mostly the faggot propaganda.

I still have Amazon prime. But I noticed last night they have a genre: "Pride."

Those demented, perverted cockroach fags are going to ruin the word "pride" the way they destroyed "gay."

Just Google.... err use DUCKDUCKGO and search for “Kodi”

There are so many options for TV

Legacy TV is near death, the networks charge your cable provider obscene amounts to carry their channels with commercials. Because of that people are dropping cable/sat TV.

Netflix got the jump and became huge but their politics will drive customers away. Netflix is not the only game in town. HBO was slow but thanks to Game of Thrones have their set of popular shows.

So let Netflix learn reality on its own.

If you want full control of what you watch, check out Kodi.

Netflix Turning Too Blue?

Netflix isn't turning blue, it's turning red.

I love how years back when the left was attempting to change the public's perception of them they swapped the election colors.

Typical of their ongoing erasure of their evil history...

You asked for pros/con.
I gave you a con, in a personalized way.
Who has time to run back and forth to Redbox or video store when you can stream it for virtually the same price?

“Amazon Prime Originals trump Netflix Originals any day of the week.”

Amazon is just as liberal as Netflix. Jeff Bezos is its CEO and owns the Washington Post.

The fact is, the media production and delivery companies in the USA are controlled by leftists. Watch television, go to the movies, or stream video and you are feeding the progressive movement and watching propaganda. This includes over the air “free” television. The content is still produced and delivered by the left.

Yes.

I'm waiting on Trump to turn this around, or at least complain about it every week. :(

Looking at it from that perspective, you were correct and I was wrong.

I called last week to cancel my Netflix subscription. I told the young man on the phone that the main reason I was cancelling was their recent hire of Odungo & his lovely warthog wife Moochie, and that I would be darned if I would contribute one penny to their pockets. I also told him that I spend more time searching for something that isn't 15 years old and a D movie than watching anything.

He replied that he'd been getting a LOT of cancellation calls citing Odungo's hire as a reason!

After being a Netflix subscriber almost since its inception, I cancelled my subscription last week.

Over the last two years at least, the bulk of new releases by Netflix were so far left that they were unwatchable for me. Netflix now has competitors who provide better content.

Redbox is a great way to see current movies (something Netsux can't even spell) for a very reasonable price. However, I got tired of having to schlep the disc back and standing at the machine (the closest Redbox kiosk was situated OUTSIDE a Walgreens and some very dicey individuals from a nearby housing project often lurked in the parking lot looking for handouts) with my wallet out to pay for the next movie, so I switched to streaming with first Netsux and now Amazon Prime.

“Netflix is still an excellent deal. “

Not if I turn it on and see Zeros & the Wookie’s face advertising their show.

Off Netflix goes.
