FARGO - Longtime broadcaster Ed Schultz has died. He was 64.
Sources tell WDAY-TV in Fargo that Schultz died of natural causes. Sources confirm to WDAY-TV that Schultz died in Washington, D.C.
Schultz started his broadcast career in TV and radio in Fargo in the early 1980s, including time as sports director at WDAY.
He went on to host a show at MSNBC and most recently worked for RT.

Ed Schultz, the liberal firebrand and former MSNBC host who most recently anchored a show for a Russian-funded media organization, died on Thursday. He was 64.
Schultz’s death was confirmed by RT America, the Russian-funded media outlet where he hosted “News With Ed.”
“We at RT America are sad to announce the passing of Edward Andrew Schultz,” the network said in a statement. “Ed Schultz passed quietly early morning on July 5 at his home in Washington, D.C. This announcement comes as a shock to all of us here at RT America.”
WDAY-TV, where Schultz had once worked as sports director, reported that Schultz died of natural causes.

Most pundits on TV and radio are nothing but actors playing a role.
Plenty of talk show hosts who were conservative in one market then liberal in another.
He could never get the national audience once he went full leftist that he once enjoyed as a local newscaster giving the local high school football and hockey scores. Had he stuck with that original gig, he probably could’ve filled a decent sized church for his funeral services.

You didn’t know him? The guy was a hateful liberal ass. He once said on his show that “ we should rip Dick Cheney’s heart out and kick it around like a football”.
Schultz was a real no-class act and a leftist tool. He did nothing good for anybody throughout his entire career.

Yeah...My grandfather died of heart failure at 63, my dad died of heart failure at 53. Had my first one at 48, my second one at 55, my 3rd one at 58. 64 is definitely too young.
He was praising Trump on trade & manufacturing policies and even his softening towards Putin. MSNBC-era Schultz sounded so different from the Schultz of kate.
Maybe that is what Olbermann was referring to when he wrote today “No matter how wildly his politics swung...”
Lots of options in life, he chose to HATE AMERICA.
