When you say must subtract fiber from carbs please help me understand. As an example I drink veggie juice which has 10 grams of carbs per serving but it is broken down to 2 grams of dieter fiber and 8 grams of sugar so does that mean I only count the sugar part for my daily carb amount limit?

Yes, so in your example, the net carbs would be 8. My work office has a small pack of almonds with 6 carbs and 4 fiber, meaning the net carbs is 2 (6-4). Fiber counts as a carb in the traditional scale, but your body doesn’t process fiber like other carbs (which it sees as sugar).
