HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- Students and parents in a Virginia neighborhood learned shocking news at the start of this school year.
Several students from both middle and high school stand and wait for the bus on one Henrico street corner. This year, the home next to the bus stop has an electric fence around the yard - just inches away from where students wait.
The man who put the fence up did not post a sign on the fence to warn the children, which prompted a call to Henrico police.
"It's insane," said one resident who didn't wish to share her name.
"Someone said it was electric, I was like whoa," said another concerned parent.

If the kids stay off his lawn then they don’t get shocked.
I’m not seeing the problem here.
Is it a low voltage pulsed fence, or something dangerously high voltage?
Considering how old people are these days, I do blame him. Nasty, probably parent of (now adult) kids who have had a ton of abortions, and therefore they have no grandchildren and they feel bad and angry whenever they see children.
It will attract the kids
I know, right?

Win - win.

A fence is a fence. The presence of a fence means something.
I’m sure he wasn’t pleased to discover that his property line was as far away as he thought; easements at corners are typically quite considerable. Guess he should have looked at his deed.
When I was growing up, the guy who didn’t want us kids on his lawn would turn on his sprinklers. Very effective.
That fence would be great opportunity for the kids to do some wonderful science experiments.
Come on, kids. A great way to protest an electric fence is to take leak on it.
That’ll show him.
Considering most these kids are probably bastard kids of single moms who don’t think they don’t have to obey any rules anytime anywhere really don’t blame this man.

And just “”HOW”” are OLD people today! Was there anything in the story about the age of the property owner? What an outrageous and stupid statement and judgment on something and someone you know nothing about. But that’s the kneejerk reaction on every FR thread anymore. You don’t suppose it could be the fault of the parents who haven’t properly raised their children to respect other people’s property? Nah - couldn’t be that!
