Nike Inc (NKE.N) has sold out 61 percent more merchandise since the controversial ad campaign featuring former NFL player Colin Kaepernick appeared earlier this month, according to data on the company’s online sales from Thomson Reuters Proprietary Research.

Kaepernick, who sparked a national controversy by kneeling during the national anthem, first tweeted the ad on the Labor Day weekend, which immediately sparked demands for a boycott of the company’s products.

Probably Nike employees buying the goods under orders from their CEO.

These are one-time purchases by people who would not be caught dead actually WEARING these products of Far East sweatshops manufactured under near-slave wages. Vast markups in product from cost of production to publicity to stock dividends.

Great business plan. Only they have cut off vast numbers of future buyers, by insulting their sensibilities and intelligence just one too many times.

Enjoy it while the good times roll, Nike.

What are their sales numbers? Counting out of stock items could be tied to factors unrelated to sales. My out of stock numbers are higher, too. It is not because of increased sales. It is because of manufacturer issues leading to warehouse shortages. I can’t sell it if I haven’t had it for several months.

Any company who would hire that freak as their spokesman would lie about their sales.

Not near as easy to do as you think. Sellers of Nike gear easily can attest to the actual sells, which, I can also confirm have risen. Nike knew their demographic well.

Consumers like you are more than likely taxpaying citizens. The taxpayers are probably paying for the NIKE products.

Satan always rewards his followers with material gains at the front end of their deal. Its the follow up that gives reason to pause for the bearer of the contract.

Can they manipulate figures?

Also, the World Cup was this summer, Nike made some good revenue off of that.

I’d wait a bit on the analysis.

“from Nike’s website”, there you go. Also, we can’t be sure of the exact dates or at least, double-check them. I saw some other article but it was from international sales.

And maybe Kaepernick is a hero and selling point to some, they hardly have Michael Jordan as a hot selling point anymore.

“selling over-priced shoes to stupid people. The initial surge will slow and then they will realize they will have to increase their international market to sustain the hate white people business”

I disagree. Nike knows exactly who their market is: Several generations of completely brainwashed Americans. This is permanent; patriotic Americans are 50+ years old and dying out. SJW’s with money to burn are their market.
