It’s that time of year. What’s the most annoying Christmas song?

Strangely enough, Dolly Parton never seems to get any older, either.

I think it’s called “I Wanna Vegan-Non-Culturally-Appropriated-Gender-Neutral-SJW-Holiday”, and apparently it’s playing all over now.

...my favorite secular Christmas song is “Hard Candy Christmas”

I always loved that one
Only Dolly Parton could have pulled it off in
Best Little Whorehouse in Texas

I agree and anything by rock/pop singers but the most disgusting has to be rap artists singing Christmas songs.

Twelve Days of Christmas . . . . most annoying and stupid song I ever heard . . . nothing rhymes . . . don’t know why anyone would dump all that crap on anyone and take 12 days to do it. Awfully stupid.

I couldn’t agree more. I have broken a radio changing the station when that abomination was on.

That was what first came to my mind. How “I Want a Hippopotamus For Christmas” ever became popular is beyond me.

Following close behind are those mentioned by others and especially “Christmas in Hollis” by Run-DMC.

Same here, dude.

I had a dorm neighbor in college who would play it nonstop.

We wanted to sneak up on her with a potato sack and haul her off somewhere.

Haven’t seen one on the thread yet I don’t agree with as being ughtastic.

Currently I’m driving an hour and 1/2 to work and I normally would listen to the carol station this time of year. Normally it would be 1/6 that were ughtastic but this year it seems to be more like 5/6.

It’s so bad I’ve gone back to my CDs - listening to Crosby’s white Christmas, Christmas mass by Gregorian monks, etc.

At home I dusted off the record player and put on Reader’s digest Lawrence Welk Christmas. It was a staple in the house growing up, so much so that I got my own copy when we had the kids...despite not really using the record player.

George Michael’s pathetic song about a homosexual lover who left him . . . and we get to hear it all over the place constantly. Just the idea gets me sick.

Slightly off topic, but comes back in cycles—my nomination for most irritating jingle is:

“Cars for kids”

Do they know it’s Christmas Lyrics just to prove your point.

It’s Christmas time
There’s no need to be afraid
At Christmas time
We let in light and we banish shade

And in our world of plenty
We can spread a smile of joy
Throw your arms around the world
At Christmas time

But say a prayer
Pray for the other ones
At Christmas time it’s hard

But when you’re having fun
There’s a world outside your window
And it’s a world of dread and fear
Where the only water flowing
Is the bitter sting of tears

And the Christmas bells that ring there
Are the clanging chimes of doom
Well tonight thank God it’s them
Instead of you

And there won’t be snow in Africa this Christmas time
The greatest gift they’ll get this year is life(Oooh)
Where nothing ever grows
No rain or rivers flow
Do they know it’s Christmas time at all?

Here’s to you
Raise a glass for everyone
Here’s to them
Underneath that burning sun
Do they know it’s Christmas time at all?

Feed the world
Feed the world
Feed the world
Let them know it’s Christmas time again
Feed the world
Let them know it’s Christmas time again
