Were we listening to the same address by President Trump? That is just about the opposite of my take-away. I believe that he EXPECTS the Dems to be duplicitous. He reiterated that the southern border WILL be protected regardless of what the Dems say or (don't) do. This takes away one of the Dems biggest arguments as the Federal workers will get their back pay.
