Yes. I did listen to part of a video on this - he said “clean up on Isle AK47”. I didn’t have time to watch all of it. However, It makes sense to me. We know that No Name and HRC had these Rat Lines and guns/ammo smuggling.

I believe the warthog attack was not in Hunt for Red October it was in Red Storm Rising which was Clancy’s second book and involved initial combat in Europe on the ground as well as Naval actions.
I’ll have to confirm. As a Naval Officer in the late 80s/early 90s I enjoyed his books as they were very well researched and especially earlier on focused on the Naval aspects. The great thing about Red Storm Rising was it looked at all aspects fairly equally.
I enjoyed the unique use of the A-10s in the scene your referring to ...whichever book it was in.
