Now, it's hopefully true that devices with firmware written after 2010 or so will be okay.
But how many cars are out there with vehicular GPS units with firmware older than that???

I hope my 57 Bel Air isn’t affected. Up til now, it seems to take me right where I want to go.

Gee, cars built before 2010 may not be up-to-date. Drivers who depend on their GPS to know where they are and who may think theyre in Washington, D.C., but actually may be drowning in the Gulf of Mexico.
