His businessman father is worth an estimated $853 million but Damian Hurleys grandfather is trying to stop him from getting a cent.
The biological grandfather of Elizabeth Hurleys only son is waging a nasty legal battle to stop the teen from inheriting any of the family fortune.
The Austin Powers actress gave birth to her only child, Damian Charles Hurley, in 2002 after a brief fling with US businessman Steve Bing.
Mr Bing has an estimated net worth of $US600 million ($AU853 million), with the bulk of his fortune coming from his grandfather, New York real estate baron Leo S. Bing.
But despite that staggering wealth, the 16-year-olds grandfather, Dr Peter Bing, is now trying to prevent Damian from getting his hands on the multimillion-dollar family trust.
Dr Bing has argued that Damian and his dad have never met, and that the teen isnt eligible to become a Bing heir as he was born out of wedlock.
The legal battle began after another of Mr Bings illegitimate children 20-year-old Kira Kerkorian Bing allegedly claimed she was a beneficiary of the trust and demanded information on it.
In response, Dr Bing filed court papers in Los Angeles County which asked for a judge to deem Ms Kerkorian Bing ineligible.
Thats because the trust, which was established in 1980, would not benefit any person bought out of wedlock unless that person had lived for a substantial period of time as a regular member of the household, according to court documents, The Mirror reports.

Bastards cannot prevent their being == born out of wedlock
Nuttin more to say re this kind...
Those who EARN that epithet are another chapter in the long storied ‘book of life’..
Brief fling, with DNA injection at no charge. Who wouldn’t?
Nope, not unfair. This is one of the reasons why marriage used to be important (and I guess it still is, if there’s enough of an inheritance involved).
There are no illegitimate children.
Only illegitimate parents.
I watched Rumpole also. But I didn't remember Hurley. And I read some of the books by the author.
Its widely recognized that she had a fling with Bill Clinton
Is it me, or does he look like bubba?
RE: Mom must have plenty of money.
Liz is not that poor herself:

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and there is a whole lot more to beauty than meets just the eye. If one ever listened to Hurley interview or opinionate one would immediately say to ones self “pity the individual she latches onto, and draws the vitality out of.”
There are pictures of her in a bikini on the interweb. She looks really good for a woman of her age. It does not appear she has had a lot of work done either.
Looks like Bing has a long list of short term conquests.
Liv Tyler, Sheryl Crow, Nicole Kidman, Farrah Fawccett and Sharon Stone.
After her Hugh Grant event, I thought she was smarter.
Poor kid. If he does’t get a chuck of grandpa’s enormous pile money, he’ll have to make do with just inheriting mom’s giant pile of money.
As I suspected, he can live off mom if he has to.
He’s so pretty he will probably have his own career.
Yeah, that’s pretty creepy. It must be weird and confusing for that boy, to have such a sexpot mom... especially when he’s sort of the man in her life. She’s apparently had an ex-husband and a string of boyfriends. And she pals around with Elton John and his ilk. If Damian eventually ends up being a semi-normal adult, it’ll be a minor miracle.
Elizabeth Hurley is NOT Guilty.
. . . cut from family trust for being born out of wedlock
After all, it was his choice. < / sarcasm >
I don’t think trusts work like that.
The main issue is that the young man never lived as part of the Bing family (Hello Chandler). The “born out of wedlock” headline is good click bait though. Had he been a member of the household the “out of wedlock” provision would not apply.
Life can be cruel.
What do you mean, “could be cut”?
The quoted trust document is explicit: “No bastards”. That should be the end of it.
How does that get turned into a news story?
