Congratulations are in order to Studio MDHR. The indie studio has announced that that their sensational game Cuphead has sold over one million copies in the two weeks since it’s been out. An impressive feat for the studio’s first game. In a letter on Studio MDHR’s official website, Chad and Jared Moldenhauer thanked fans for all of their support.

“Hello friends! Cuphead has only been out for two weeks and we never could have dreamed of the reception we’ve received from our amazing fans! Today, we wanted to take a moment to thank each and every one of you for your support and we’re excited to share that Cuphead has gone platinum with over 1 million units sold!

We have worked tirelessly over the past few years to deliver a game that remained true to our vision and we are both humbled and excited that so many people from around the world are playing Cuphead – it truly makes it all worth it.

From all of us at StudioMDHR, thanks again for your support!”

Cuphead took the internet by storm when it was first announced over three years ago on Microsoft’s E3 stage. The game features outstanding hand drawn animation to emulate 1930s cartoons. Though the studio plans to eventually release a physical collector’s edition, right now you can only purchase a digital copy for $19.99. Trust us, it’s worth every penny.

The LOOK of the game is irrelevant. GAME is the operative word here.

Welcome to FR. The hostile commenter is not representative of FReepers. I hope you don’t get the wrong impression.

There is currently a thread in Breaking News about a bunch of horses running around a track for a minute. Clearly not everything on this site has to be important or serious.

Thank you for the welcome!

And I’m new to FR, but I’m not new to online forums, so I’m used to people complaining about threads.

Actually thanks for the link.

This actually seems like quite a good website, in general.

I could just watch the game play for hours...no need to actually play it.

Agreed. Be prepared to replace your controller after you throw it against the wall after dying 100 times on the same level.

I got halfway through the game before I rage quit. One of these days I will try to finish it.

Either I’m high or this is the strangest FR thread I’ve ever seen.

Or both :)

I been posting to FR since 1998. FR is not restricted to politics. In fact, political issues are but a small subset of all the discussions that are available.

You see, Conservatism is a way of life. As such, it encompasses everything. From the pets we have, to the games we play, to the way we run our lives at home with our families.

If FR were to be limited to only political discussions based on responses to main-stream media posts, FR would have died a long, long time ago.

It is true that FReepers have left this platform and set up their own forums when they were unhappy with the wide scope of discourse herein. That is how Zero Hedge and Above Top Secret got started. Never the less, Jim does a nice job trying to provide a forum for free discussion, and yes, you can from time to time get some harsh responses.

So enjoy and don’t get too hot and bothered with what others think.

That was both fun and trippy.
It was like: “Nancy & Sluggo meet Cab Calloway disguised as Jules Verne and smoke a big bowl!”

With Sluggo fantasizing about Betty Boop...

As a lifelong cartoon aficionado, I can say that this game is visually stunning and fun. How many cells did they have to draw? An homage to 1930s cartoons done impressively well. Simply awesome!

My kid was literally driven to tears of frustration playing this bloody thing. And he’s very good at games. The graphics and music are very cool though. I understand it is the first game to use hand drawn animation, because they wanted it to look just like those old cartoons. Boy, did they pull it off!

Lol...”Da Tovarisch, off to salt mine with you...Nyet to games!”

I thought it was a cool post. Always fascinating to see what is new and exciting in the area of entertainment. "Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness" are enshrined by our Declaration of Independence.

Good post!

Where are all those FReepers that rant and rave about the garbage being posted here?

Is it playable just with keyboard controls? I wouldn’t want to buy a joystick just for one game.

Yes, utterly pointless gaming posts are wholly relevant to a site where political discussion is the regular order of the day.

The fact that most Conservatives have a life outside of politics is what sets us apart from the SJWs and Snowflakes of the left. They are so consumed by their perceived death of the planet, Donald Trump, social justice, etc. that they have lost all capacity to enjoy their lives. That is why comedians no longer play on college campuses, why social networks have become anything but social and people spend most of their time walking on eggshells afraid that a wrong word will get their life ruined. You should be thankful FReepers aren't like that.
