Felt really sad. Still do. Look at youtube from vegas or any of the shows, man had something for the ages. Drugs and bad advice. like so many. ended it.
My recollection is similar to yours. I was 13 and my younger brother and I were riding in the bed of my dads Chevy pick up, with camper top on, mom and dad up front listening to the radio. We were driving through downtown Nashville at the time on a family trip to go to the Grand Ole Opry.
Wouldn’t be the first time an autopsy was fudged. I remember the initial reports that he was found slumped over on the toilet.

For many weeks we had high record sales, people coming in dressed like Elvis and so many stories from people. Some nice but a lots of b.s. about being in the Elvis mafia or that he was not dead and was seen just yesterday in Tunica Ms.
