President Trump on Monday said it looks as if Iran is responsible for weekend attacks on Saudi Arabian oil facilities, but he stopped short of definitively blaming Tehran and said he is not looking for war. Im not looking to get into [a] new conflict, but sometimes you have to, he told reporters in the Oval Office. The president said he is not concerned at all about a potential war with Iran, adding that hed like to avoid it while boasting the United States is well prepared for any scenario. Trumps comments differed from those of Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, who said on Saturday that Iran was behind the sophisticated attacks, not Yemens Houthi rebels, who initially claimed responsibility.

It was a Saudi oil facility!! How about we let the Saudi’s respond with their military!!!
Seriesly, may cooler heads prevail and any action be based on our national security interest and not the House of Saud's.
MAGA
I have no problem with the U.S. thinking it has “some” security interest in the attacks by Iran on the Saudi facilities.
However, that concern and any willingness to take any action cannot be greater than, and should only be support for (AWACS & arms), any primary and direct action that should be considered by the Saudis. If the Saudis have no intention of using their own military, the U.S. should have no action to consider.
Right now Trump should be waiting for the Saudis to relate what THEY intend to do.
Wheres all the leaks? Who has been fired recently? Bolton? That doesn’t add up - oh that secretary lady hmmm. Maybe president Trump got some plumbers
Armstrong the Chinese to release the huge stockpile of Iranian oil that bought they but didn’t technically import.

We gotta be patient. Maintain the economic pressure on the mullahs. They are very close to the breaking point.
doing NOTHING obviously worked with Hitler, too.
The answer to the Q is: whatever you answer will be wrong.

The mullahs are no where near any kind of breaking point and never will be. They have a belief system and they are dedicated to it.
The only breaking point is the non religious plurality in Iran potentially seizing power. I don’t see that anywhere close to happening. Hopefully I am wrong.

Seriously — team up w/ Israel and sabotage ‘em, just like before; and rinse, and repeat the sabotage where and when they least expect it. One day, they’ll get the message. That is all.
If I believed in conspiracies I might speculate someone wanted to prove to Trump Iran was a threat that needed to be dealt with with extreme prejudice.
Then again, maybe Iran just decide this was the moment to strike SA and risk an all-out war.
Whatever happened I agree with President Trump. Proceed with caution.
My guess is Trump won’t do anything until Saudi oil production is back to normal. At that point he will do a deal with the Saudi’s, they agree to increase and maintain output of oil and together they take out Iran’s military. Oil output would continue at the increased level until Iran changes government. (Something like that or let Israel enjoy flying the missions)
If I were Trump I’d be cautious too.
It seems pretty clear that our intel services fed George W. bad intel about weapons of mass destruction in order to get him to invade Iraq.
Given that track record and their coup against him, Trump should have ZERO trust in the intel he’s being fed.

I agree. No need to go on a war footing for this. Just increase sanctions.
