Power Company hopefully will NEVER calculate base load on potential. The first time they do you can Murphy’s law yourself right into a blackout. Wind might have an application powering water to a stock tank, but even then, if you run out of wind you are jeopardizing the herd and you are hauling water. A hundred years of electrification have lead to quite a few absolutes. If you want or need reliability, you stick to the absolutes, and never deviate. If you want black outs, brown outs, unreliability, then you revert to yesteryears methods before absolutes were established. There are sufficient outages just based on equipment and weather, why inject stupidity into the equation?

If God is running the power company then all above goes out the window, but until then...

My point is there are many places with enough recorded wind 24/7. Its not “potential’ and there is no sign of “running out” of wind for the forseeable future of mankind. There are massive quantities of guaranteed 24/7 energy that has been going right over our heads for for a very long time.

Fiberglass windmills are probably not tbe best way to capture it but the energy is there. How best to capture it needs to be studied with the same intensity as the manhattan project
