Just watched part of the interview with the CEO of Dick's Sporting Goods on CBS Sunday Morning. What a loser this guy is; and a liar to boot. He actually claimed (in essence) 'what kind of society refuses to do background checks'....
He also claimed that the straw that broke the camel's back was the shooter in FLA bought a shotgun from Dick's; he said 'that was it! even though he didn't use that gun in the shooting'. This guy is a complete fraud
Academy Sports has a great gun and ammo selction...just saying.
Go to your local mom and pop stores and do your sporting goods purchases.
Even if you have to travel a bit to get to one.
Its time we all do that and support our local merchants-no matter what they sell. These big chain outfits are run by wackjobs who have been brainwashed by the colleges they attend.
I go to a pawn shop here to do my firearms purchases and if they cant get it, I go to a local fire arms store.
They are friendly, talk to you and not at you.
Dick’s has been on my ban list for a couple years.
Dick’s just sold 8 of its Field & Stream stores.

Interview just running now in Tulsa. I’ll give them kudos for interviewing the former Tulsa PD officer who testified before Congress. You could tell the reporter just couldn’t wrap his mind around her basic logic.
If I’m going to enter the mall through their store I’ll first try to find some mud to walk in.
He would save more lives closing off the Parking Lot and making his Customers walk to his Store..

Good point...ALSO, why do they put US - LAW abiding CITIZENS - through all that crap at airports, even when going from one ‘section’ to another when all the ‘bad guys’ have to do is show up at the border and get a ‘pass’.
I even refuse to pick up packages at the airport anymore, including lost luggage.
Don’t need all the hassle, of course there is my constant ‘traveling companion’ I have to look out for.

Remember after 9/11 they MADE the National Guard types patrol the airports with empty weapons?
The claim is they just wanted to have them in sight, not scare ‘normal’ people.
Sorry, now if I am the ‘bad guy’, the first one on my list is the dude walking around the area, in uniform and with a weapon...I don’t think it wise to ask him if it is loaded, one would just assume it is, otherwise, why is he there?
Never going there again. There are plenty of other places I can go than go to this fools stores and give him money.

Stopped buying there several years ago and I discourage all my friends and acquaintances from shopping there. Hope they go bankrupt.
Someone should go into the store and complain about assault archery weapons.
