Netflix advertises the Brazil-produced film as a Christmas special, the Daily News reports, and it aired on Netflix Brazil on Dec. 3.
The comedy group Porta dos Fundos (which translates to Back Door) created “The First Temptation of Christ” following their International Emmy Award-winning production of “The Last Hangover,” a movie which satirizes the biblical Last Supper, the last meal Jesus Christ shared with his disciples before he was crucified.
As of Friday afternoon, more than 1.4 million people had signed a Change.org petition demanding that the film be removed from Netflix and saying that the film “seriously offended Christians.”
“Porta dos Fundos values artistic freedom and humor through satire on the most diverse cultural themes of our society and believes that freedom of expression is an essential construction for a democratic country,” the group said.
Porta dos Fundos and Netflix did not respond to requests for comment from the Daily Caller News Foundation.
George Orwell, in his essay on Salvador Dali, “Benefit of Clergy,” described the process whereby an artist solves the problem of his meager or failing talent:
“There is always one escape: into wickedness. Always do the thing that will shock and wound people. . . throw a little boy off a bridge, strike an old doctor across the face with a whip and break his spectacles - or, at any rate, dream about doing such things . . . gouge the eyes out of dead donkeys with a pair of scissors. Along those lines you can always feel yourself original. And after all. it pays!”
These people are craving attention. They cannot receive it by being creative because they have no talent.
That B grade movie about Mohammed was the pretense behind the Benghazi attack. Not by Netflix and poorly produced but it was done, nonetheless.
How much input did the Obama’s have in this farce.

When we heard Netflix hired the Obamas and Susan Rice, it was over for us. It was gone an hour later.
Voting with your money makes the loudest noise, IMHO.
No one will notice that I’m gone but they just might notice when a bunch of others are no longer sending them $$$.
