Explain to me why flights aren’t being stopped or at least screened to find at least some of the cases
Probably due to diversification. They are probably randomly picking passengers from flights from Chili, Bogota, and perhaps Mongolia.

the passengers are screened prior to boarding. During flight FAA regs require stews to report any passenger displaying illness. So it seems like the US is relying on point of origin screening re: US Citizens?
