He may just be giving a great performance as a dead guy.
Too soon?
3x5 index cards will go on the clearance rack soon.
Never heard of him. Is this from England?
Thank you for sharing. His show influenced my career choices.
About the only. Thing I ever watched on Bravo. He was a good interviewer. And ninety-three is a good run. Same age as my dad and same Ailment. RIP.
Rest in Peace.
Enjoyed his work greatly.
I liked him. The few times I watched the show was before Hollywood went completely to the pits of Hell. I found him very entertaining. RIP Mr. Lipton
RIP, Mr. Lipton. I enjoyed his show almost as much a I enjoyed Will Farrells parodies of it. And, as much as I despise Alec Baldwin, Baldwin did a hilarious Charles Nelson Riley impression on one of those SNL skits. Another very funny skit had Lipton/Farrell interviewing Screech from Saved by the Bell.
Condolences to family and friends of James Lipton. Unique individual on the tubes. R.I.P., sir. Thanks.
Inside the Actor’s Studio was terrific. He was a great interviewer. The Robin Williams interview was hilarious and wonderful, worth every minute. I enjoyed all of the shows. And yes, no damned political crap. I even read Lipton’s book because he was such an interesting person. RIP James.
A class act, RIP
He was a WWII Air Corp vet. I saw him interviewed on Veterans Day several years ago. He said he was proud of his service and always supported the troops.
Perpetuating the Cult of Celebrity.
I first met him in Florida in 1986 and last talked to him about 10 years ago. Big supporter of the military as he had been an enlisted man in the USAF. I’ve been a guest of his in Manhattan and out in the Hamptons where he took me flying one afternoon. He was a very kind, genuine and interesting person. RIP.
RIP.
Colorful life. I have an acquaintance who worked with him who said he was good to work with. But why oh why did he never have Ron Jeremy on his show?
