I don’t know that weather will affect this one much.

In CA it’s been 75+ for 6 weeks and sunny.

Except for the last 4-5 days.

Rainy and downright winter cold up here in Butte County...

So here is a crazy deal at Krogers. I dont think they intended this. This is what my friend bought.

Private Selection Coconut & Sweet Chili Shrimp Purses

and there is also some kind of Sesame dumpling thing

regular price 5.99
on sale
2 for 3
but then there is a 5 for 5 sale that makes them .50 each because it takes $1.00 off. It is signed. .50 and that is what it rings up for.

she bought all of it.

When I was a kid, my brother and I would eat a little of the dry dog food, out of mischievousness & curiosity. And mostly just being friends with our beloved collie. IIRC, it tasted “ok”. Never made us sick.

Now with that background...

My wife makes a Filipino corned beef and cabbage dish, served with sticky rice. It’s really quite good. A bit high in sodium though (so eat mostly rice, some fruit on the side.) She likes to use corned beef from back home best (buys @ “International Store” when they have it), but uses the Wally World “Great Value” corned beef too. A little of the GV goes a long way with the rice and the cabbage in the dish. I like it best when the meal is about it’s about 1/2 rice, 1/3 cabbage, 1/6 corned beef.

I cant figure out why people dont want to buy corned beef in a can. It is never out and looks barely touched. I bought some to try.

It's pretty good. I prefer to brown it, flip it and brown the other side as best as possible for something crumbly. Takes away some of the greasiness. I had it at a home cooking type restaurant and that was really good. Made from a corned beef and potatoes, not from can. I'm wanting to make some but we never have any corned beef left and only get it a few times a year, St Patrick Day being one of course. It can be made at home. I made corned venison once. Looked the same and came put tender but it was a little strong.

I used to make reubens with canned corned beef. They were delicious, but no, it doesn’t taste exactly like regular corned beef, any more than canned corned beef hash tastes like freshly made corned beef hash.

Could be for internal dissent. Of course the Chinese think they own Taiwan and Hong Kong.

Thanks brother (or sister, as case may be). I’m okay, still have the double vision, but prognosis is good.

But I think Taiwan handled the viral bioweapon very well. Much better than China did.
