The NFL rarely does a damn thing unless it can profit off of it. This is a league, after all, that once charged the Department of Defense $5 million to stage patriotic tributes to soldiers during timeouts. And while no one is questioning that it was opposed to breast cancer when it made the players add pink to their uniforms, the benefits of marketing the sport to women was lost on no one. You have to appreciate the hustle. These team owners didn’t get that rich by accident. So on Friday afternoon, when Roger Goodell, commissioner of a league that is unapologetically about cutthroats and bottom lines, actually released an apology video for not supporting the players, including during past protests that adversely affected revenue, it was no normal corporate statement.

At least one game a year
Tickets for 4
Hotel
Air fare
Meals
Drinks
Merch for family, jerseys, hats, nicknacks.
By the time August is here...the wind will be out of the BLM

Players who think the fans will put up with the kneeling will be horribly mistaken.
The NFL might have a tv contract but without fans in the stands.....the league will be crippled.

When I see those giant superbowl rings, I think of Liberace. Seriously, those tight pants, goosing and grabbing each other’s butts.... football players are homos. Totally queer. They are faggots.
It will be a long time, if ever before the crowds return. Most of the NFL fanbase are having severe cash flow problems. People are turning away from cable and the networks for their entertainment.
Expect the expensive player contracts to end soon.
The real backlash will be when they cut player salaries after ad revenues and stadium ticket sales tank.

Let’s see what happens when the NFL institutes a rule they must have at least one black quarterback on their roster.
Instead of having 4 or 5 bowl games on the same day, they should spread out the college football bowl games into more of January so that people will have football games to watch without having to watch NFL games.

Same. I’m more worried about college football. It looks like this marxist agitprop has finally penetrated CFB. I won’t be watching any college football if the kneeler nonsense or any type of virtue signalling is a weekly occurrence.

I agree, but with one qualification...
Brown weighed 235 pounds.
In that era, most linebackers and defensive ends weighed 225 or less.
Jim Taylor (Green Bay), a Brown contemporary, and one of the best fullbacks in the league, weighed 210.
Bottom Line...
Jim Brown was the first big man in the NFL who had elite speed.
In my mind, Tiger Woods had exactly the same sports DNA that Jim Brown had.
Perfect body, and, unquenchable passion to win.
I figure as long as cops keep doing security for the NFL they must be okay with the kneeling and anti-cop stuff. Or they just like the money, which means they were bought. Either way, I can't take it more seriously than they do.
The NFL was dying to me in years past when they allowed criminal thugs to play because they were good at the game.
Today the NFL has become an organization of political correctness.
I will not watch their games!
