The Premier League have announced they will replace player names with ‘Black Lives Matter’ for the opening weekend of the 2019-20 season restart.
For the opening 12 games of the 2019-20 season restart, ‘Black Lives Matter’ will replace the player names on the back of each jersey, as players from all clubs requested this change.
In a statement released Friday, the PL revealed a host of ways it will be marking the Black Lives Matter movement for the restart of the season as all 20 clubs agreed to the plans.

I get soccer over my antenna, 90 in 30 is great, they take a 90 minute soccer match and make it 30 minutes it is a much better watch.
There is true racism there. Raheem Sterling has put up with not only the N word but bottles thrown at him. I don’t like him because he left my Liverpoool. BLM has different meaning there when there are African players on teams. Premier League is the beautiful game. It’s for one weekend. Big deal.
I will say that yes, Europeans are a hundred times more racist than Americans, not even close. Regularly fans throw bananas on the field at black players, ON THEIR OWN TEAM!

It is unbelievable that the white race which has contributed more to civilization by far than any other race has been reduced to a groveling, self-debasing, guilt-ridden human mess.
And yes, we haven’t been perfect, but all other races have committed even worse atrocities. We should hold our heads high and be proud of our accomplishments. We have nothing to apologize for that others don’t as well and we have accomplished so much more.
The sad thing is that it is self-loathing whites that are leading the charge of this self-degradation and racial castration.
I’m at a loss on how to turn this around.

I seem to recall a couple of years ago a referee supposedly dropped the ‘N’ word during a game and EVERYONE took umbrage at it and finally the League BANNED the word from ALL NFL facilities (don’t know what they would do if a fan used it, guess just toss the fan from seat to field and let both teams have their way with he/she/it).
Anyhow, everyone strode around like they had finally ‘accomplished’ something and then they realized that they couldn’t address each other or acknowledge each other with that particular term and (I THINK) they sued saying the League was discriminating against them and denying them free speech.

Not me... only organized sports that one watches on tv or pays money to see. This leaves lots of time for rounds of golf, skiing, pickup baseball in the neighborhood, tennis, squash, badminton, shooting hoops with the kids, target shooting, deer hunting, drag racing with my buddy, boating, swimming, lawn bowling, watching the kids play hockey/soccer/baseball/football, biking, going to the gym and most of all...... fishing.
