Pete Carroll urges white people to learn America's 'real' history: 'Black people can't scream anymore'

Saturday’s news conference with Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll was a little different from usual.

For starters, there was no practice to discuss. Carroll had given the team the day off. Second, there were no questions. Just 15 minutes of Carroll addressing the camera, discussing a topic that continues to dominate the sports world: racial inequality.

"(White people) need to be coached up and they need to be educated about what the heck is going on in the world," Carroll said. "Black people can't scream anymore, they can't march any more, they can't bear their souls anymore to what they've lived with for hundreds of years because white guys came over from Europe and started a new country with a great idea and great ideals and wrote down great writings and laws and all of that about democracy and freedom and equality for all. And then that's not what happened, because we went down this road here and followed economics—rich white guys making money—and they put together a system of slavery, and we've never left it, really. It has never gone away.

"And Black people know the truth, they know exactly what's going on. It's white people who don't know.

"This is a humanity issue we're dealing with. This is a white people's issue to get over and learn what's going on and to figure it out..."

Whites Are beginning to figure it out. Simply put, blacks are better than anyone else. Blacks have only had a 165+ years to make better lives for themselves. Blacks are only 18 times more likely to commit murder and 25 times more likely to commit rape than whites. I could go on and on about why blacks have arrived at where they are but it's almost dark and BLM will be roaming the streets soon. Peaceful protesting and so forth...and I must load my gun and prepare for another sleepless night...

"start loving everybody that is part of our country..."

So WHO is EVERYBODY and WHAT is OUR country?

You got me on this one. This statement makes no sense.

I think black folk need to learn black history. Only about 100K slaves were imported prior to 1787 (and another 200K from 1787-1803 including those brought into French and Spanish colonies). This compared to the over a million caucasians enslaved in Africa, the males castrated, the females horribly abused and mistreated as sex objects.

Most of the blacks brought to America prior to 1787 were treated as servants, who could buy their freedom, and have their own homes, businesses and livelihoods outside servitude. An opportunity afforded few slaves in the world at the time, certainly not the white slaves kidnapped from Europe and sold to the slave caravans of Africa. At any one time some 30% of blacks in America were freemen, never being slaves.

As more and more slaves ran away, joined indians and the British, and fought and killed colonists out in their fields (and killed each other as old tribal rivalries flared when different groups were mixed together), the more the crackdown on freedom began. (the old, a few bad apples argument). Whereas slaves that ran away to Florida managed to take over and displace Florida indians, those that ran away to ‘the west’ were enslaved by other tribes of indians, same as captured whites. From 1800 to 1863 proposals to repatriate blacks to Africa started circulating, complicated by France and Spain neglecting to abolish slavery before relinquishing their territorial claims, and the issue of indians owning slaves, leaving the colonies to deal with the problem of how best to deal with the issue of slavery.

Blacks were generally treated well, as evidenced by their longevity that at times exceeded the then average 35-40yr lifespan of whites. Sure there was mistreatment, that has to be acknowledged, but not even in the ballpark compared to the 50-60% mortality rate of indentured servants who were considered disposable or the rate of mortality among white slaves in Africa, estimated to be over 99%. It was the US and England that ended the slave trade to western nations and destroyed slave ports in Africa. And then spent the next 40 years trying to come to a solution to slaves no longer necessary in a country where their labor was being replaced by an endless supply of immigrant labor, leading to the very unfortunate Civil War.

After the Civil War, southern whites suffered right along with blacks under the repressive policies instituted and racial guilt perpetrated by the North. Black slavery ended, but white indentured servitude persisted for another 50 years. As the West opened up, and prior to the Great Depression, blacks, who comprised less than 6% of the population at that time, created their own towns and businesses, sometimes not successful but in many cases just as successful as whites or hispanics. The cattle and oil industries were topheavy with blacks working as cowpokes and roughnecks, while others built rail lines and worked in northern factories, lauded and immortalized by America as an important part of our culture and history.

Black men were given the right to vote before women were. And for the last 80 years, various forms of AA have given every advantage to black folks at the cost of hundreds of billions, even trillions of dollars. Yet during that same period, black crime against whites, latinos and other blacks has exploded in all categories, from property crime to physical violence. Even so, today, 52% of blacks live in the suburbs, 40% are homeowners, 90+% have high school diplomas and a full 25% have college degrees, most tuition free under special scholarships - comparable and sometimes exceeding whites in those categories. Blacks are overrepresented as a percentage of the population in all industries, from media to the arts to government employment, where they are given extra preference. The biggest hinderance to the success of blacks in America for the last 100 years has always been poor life decisions.

I am done with accusations of ‘systemic racism’ when black privilege and entitlement has been the law of the land for almost three generations. And I am done Al Sharptons and other race-baiters. Done with virtue signaler Dochals who spread hatred for their own race to feed their own, oh so superior, egos. Liberia is still waiting for the discontented, although Liberia doesn’t allow Dochals at all.
